Thanks for the links, but those are all films that are available on DVD, even though Netflix doesn't carry them. I meant films that can only be viewed by streaming.
Edit: Straight Jacket is available for rental as a double-bill with Homicidal, from the Castle box.

The best luck I've had with that was browsing the Starz list and stumbling upon things.

1987's The Video Dead, unreleased on DVD, is available as a Netflix streaming title here. Anyone spot any other streaming-only horror films?
The Crimson Cult
This is a great idea. Once a we compile a large enough list, I'll put a link up on the first page.

Yeah, it's kind of cool these things have gone from goofy little things to actual DVDTalk events. The prizes are a nice addition.

I'll be doing my 31 YouTube video reviews again this October. I hope I didn't irritate too many of you last year with them.

Can anyone recommend any worthwhile recent horror films released on Blu-ray? I've got a few extra Netflix spots available (hoping Maniac is available before the end of October), and need a couple of ideas. I've already got/seen The Host, Trick r Treat and House of the Devil.

Sorry, should have specified. By recent I meant the last decade. Uncle Sam seems to have gotten pretty negative notices. I've already sat through Troll 2 twice, which is enough for one lifetime and I already have the DVD of ROTLD.

Nice. Was just thinking about this at work today. Watched 178 last year, don't think I'm going to come close to that this year, but I might get 100. I have some work that will get in the way, but the Dodgers suck this year so I won't have to watch any baseball.
Time to go through the DVDs and make some piles to watch.

Great! I've been waiting for the release of The Evil ever since I first saw it on cable back in the late 70's. I 'll have it on release day. I won't be the one that wins this but it's a well worth it award.

I watched The Evil last year. Nice little flick. Haunted house tale that books along at a solid clip of speed.

i started picking up Ghost House and Horrorfest - 8 Films to Die For - for this challenge, been grabbing them for about $3-$4, look forward to watching them for the first time, even though my expectations are low.
looking forward to curating some nights for large group of friends, basically i'm psyched to get this going.

Uncle Sam sucks if you don't like 80s slasher movies but like newer types of horror more. I prefer 80s slasher movies. There's fun kills but not kills packed with extra, forced down your throat humor that recent horror films seem to enjoy, assuming they aren't the stuff like Hostel.

Got a question. I see that Bram Stoker's Dracula qualifies for this month's Criterion Challenge. Let's say I start it around 11:00 PM on 30 September and finish it on 1 October. Can I count it for both challenges?

Didn't even notice he was the writer. That actually explains a lot about some of the silliness.
I'm on the last stretch of rounding up the 135 movies I posted in my list on the second page. For a bonus, I ran across the 4 movie set of Critters at Best Buy that I guess just came out last week http://www.amazon.com/Film-Favorites...4591487&sr=8-1

FWIW - Halloween was also a Criterion laserdisc title, so that would be another no-brainer.
