Thanks. I started writing one, then decided to take a break before sending it and came back here and saw your post. I'm sure you did a better job than I would've.

Posted a review for The Crazies (2010) which I thought was fantastic.

No movies for me last night, but this morning I was inspired to dash off a sketch of The Creature inspired by (but not necessarily based upon) the cigar smoking scene in Bride of Frankenstein. As with my previous Count Dracula sketch, you're more than welcome to make any use of it you see fit.

Re: 100 Movies. 31 Days. The 6th Annual "October Horror Movie Challenge" (10/1 - 10/3

Demon possession related films always scare me the most. Watched The Unborn last night, mediocre at best overall, but it did give me the spooks. Was able to fall asleep fine last night, but this morning as I walked down my lonely condo building hallway I heard a strange sound and expected Jumby to greet me at every turn or elevator opening. I had my keys in attack position, checked my back seat, and immediately locked my door as soon as I got in my car. I never lock my car door when in it, but that building was spooky this morning.

Well my movie marathon days are over. I had the weekend off and called off sick yesterday. I built up a decent number but now I'm going to be lucky to have 1 or 2 viewings a day. So bummed.

Congratulations Undeadcow! I think I got about ten at best. It was a fun challenge. Thanks, Chad!

As for me, I think my film watching's screwed for a while. My wife's surgery is today and my mom's going to be staying over for about a week to help out with my son so it's obviously not ideal horror movie settings. I had to turn off Thinner last night and lord knows when I'll be able to finish it. The important thing is that my wife should be okay which I'm thankful for.

Hey riotinmyskull, make sure to report back to us about Night of the Living Dead Reanimated. It was almost a blind buy for me, looks awesome. Glad Netflix finally got it.

Starting my viewing off today with Scream Blacula, Scream. I enjoyed Blacula, I'm expecting to enjoy this as well.

Re: 100 Movies. 31 Days. The 6th Annual "October Horror Movie Challenge" (10/1 - 10/3

I was watching a movie last night streaming through Netflix, and they didn't the whole movie! I was so mad. Luckily, I was able to find it on the indiemoviesonline.com link on the first page. Thanks for that, Chad. As it turns out, Netflix was missing about 40 minutes. I had never had that happen to me on Netflix before, but there was no way I wasn't going to finish that movie and count it.

I know how that is. Real life for me was right before this. My best friend's mom died right before my vacation (I followed the Pixies for 3 nights), so I returned from my vacation to go directly to her service and spend the weekend with their family. After that, I split from the company I was working at and then had to entertain a houseguest immediately afterward because of a wedding this past weekend. So, this challenge has been a very welcome - albeit temporary - escape for me. It's like I can finally breathe a bit, relax and process the last few weeks. Of course, I also need to get busy looking for a new job. That's a real horror.

Were you watching on Roku? They had big problems last night with Netflix.

And yeah, best wishes to everyone having tough times during the challenge. I got a little lucky in that I now have dual-monitors at work, so it makes working and watching actually do-able. I wish Android would get Netflix streaming.

I was watching on my Xbox. When it cut off, I went and tried to watch on the PC. Same thing. Netflix actually lists the movie as 76 minutes or so. It's really 110 minutes. Oops.

I notice you keep foregoing opportunities to mention the film by name. Embarrassed?

Ha, ha. It's on my list. I'm not hiding anything. I just haven't gone back to do write-ups yet. It was called October Moon. It was NOT very good. I wouldn't recommend that anyone pursue it. I seem to be making some poor choices early in the challenge this year, a lot of misfires.

that's the great thing about this challenge...you watch a ton of shitty DTV horror flicks and then you watch THE THING and it makes it 10 times better than you ever remembered.

I wasn't planning on it until you mentioned it, but I went ahead and called to report the problem. Netflix's report-a-problem option didn't give me the choice I needed. It wasn't until now, since I first viewed it on my Xbox, that I see that the Netflix page for the movie even says DVD details length 112 minutes and then below it has Streaming details length 73 minutes. It would be nice if Netflix rewarded me for reporting the problem.

You're right. We wade through a ton of crap during this challenge, but it's always worth it when you revisit an old favorite or discover a previously unknown gem.

Yes, I saw this a month or so ago. It wasn't what I expected and though there were a few moments overall I didn't find it enjoyable.
