Where can I get a dvd of Song of the South?

My father is 70 years old and asked me for a copy, his favorite movie as a child, any info? I looked everywhere.

Just a heads-up, but you probably won't find anything legal, I'm sure.

Doesn't exist, unless you are looking for a bootleg in which case you can find it at almost any auction/marketplace site on the net.

The only legal releases for this movie (to my knowledge) are VHS releases and LaserDisc releases in other parts of the world. Never a North American release on any home format.

I attended an event in Gulf Shores, AL a few years ago- actually a seafood festivel - but hundreds of different vendors. One had both SOTS and "Amos 'N Andy" DVDs for sale. Suspecting the quality wouldn't be any good, I passed. However the quality of the display monitors set-up looked good.

Next year I went, I didn't see them. I still want "Amos 'N Andy."

I know that discussion of bootlegs aren't allowed, so I won't say where I got mine. But they're not too hard to find.
