Shipping DVDs

How many stamps do I need to ship a DVD first class? I assume that it would be 3 or 4.

Depends on where it's going. If you're using USPS, you can go to their site and it'll tell you how much it is.

Re: Shipping DVDs

Using the postage price calculator, the price is $1.56. Considering a DVD in a case is usually 5 ounces, it would most likely be 4 stamps. If I add 5 stamps, I know that I will be fine.

If is 9oz, it is usually $2.41 to $2.77

Are you unable to go to the counter at the local Post Office? That's what I always do, so that I don't waste stamps unnecessarily.

Are you 6 years old? Do you know that stamps come in different denominations, ranging from $0.01 up to $16.25? Asking a question about "how many stamps will it take"! Well, it will take a really big handful of $0.01 stamps, but less than one $16.25 stamp. Oh, I guess you want to know "how much will it cost to ship a DVD"? Duh, why didn't you say so?

Do you really need to insult me? Before sending out my DVDs, I've only ever sent one letter and Netflix DVDs in the mail. Well, they were .44 cent stamps and it took 4.

I see you've only got 5 posts to your name, but if you are a regular reader of these forums you would know that this is not meant as a real insult, it is more meant as a hint for you to try and be more specific with your questions in the future. Okay?

You've only sent one letter in your entire life?! Amazing. Do you pay bills by mail? I don't think that the gas, electric, telephone and etc. bills come with pre-paid envelopes anymore, do they? Anything you have to put a stamp on would qualify as sending something!

By the way, you DID Know that there are different denominations of stamps, right?!

How come you know so much about stamps? ;)

I haven't used one in the last 5+ years. Online bill pay.

If one has been out of their parent's home for less then 5 years, I can see them being completely unfamiliar with the concept of stamps.

If you have a post office nearby go there. Most of them have a machine you can use so you avoid waiting in line. First Class Mail is usually around $2.

You do realize that there are people as young as 13 on here? I'm 17 and I graduate at 19 so that means no bills to pay. Got it?

No, but I figured it out after I posted this. I didn't answer because you seem rude to me. What is rude in real life is rude in online life.
