That didn't take long. Perfect when they were purchased new. Season one disc two of the West Wing is totally rotted. Every single episode freezes and quits at some point. Damn Warner to hell for using these piece-of-shit two-sided discs.

Interesting. I've only had one disc go bad on me over the years, and that was an original Apollo 13. Everything else that I thought was going bad turned out to be the player as the laser was finally getting weak due to age. Hopefully Warner will replace your disc for you.

I'm sure there's not but I'll ask anyway... Is there any recourse that someone has when this happens?

are the discs different in the box set? I had always wondered if they were, but never knew anyone that had bought the complete set

I got The Complete Series way back for $65.00 during a promotion @ Amazon and these discs are single sided so I have never had a problem with them.
