Started using DVD Profiler.
I love that I can batch scan DVD's barcodes and add them that way. Worked out well and can now share my collection with my family. |

I may try DVD Profiller but how much?
I found out I can do a trial run (up to fifty) titles at no charge, but I selected four (shows only three) so it's no better than the other. I might be doing something wrong. |

Just saw the mobile (iOS & Android) DVD Profiler is on sale for $2.99. Says 50% off, but I think I've seen it as high as $9 before.

It appears the Windows version is also on sale for $14.95. I don't recall ever seeing it on sale before. I'd fully recommend it for someone who's been on the fence regarding a purchase.

The video (and many other collectibles) cataloguing website iTrackMine.com has announced it will be shutting down on August 1st, 2016. If (like me) you have your collection listed there, they give you an option to download it before they shut off the lights... :(

Just tried using DVDAf (now FilmAf), the 2nd DVD I entered was not in their database. Fuck that.

Movie Collector from collectorz.zom is good with all the different versions of DVDs. Problem is that when they do new versions, you have to buy it again unless you got a license years ago where they grandfathered you in on the unlimited plan. They do have a free trial, so it can't hurt to try.
If I had to switch to something else, I'd just roll my own so I could have exactly what I wanted. |

Tried Personal Video Database, looked promising, clean interface, ultimately too much work involved entering each DVD. Aficionado will shut down on June 10. I believe you can export the collection to PDF or such so get it done now.

In an update, Film Aficionado was saved last year but problems started cropping up in the past two months at the site under new management. Some cookie problem prevents most users from logging into their collections.
Film Aficionado Someone over at Blu-ray.com is supposedly trying to help them fix their website issues but it's now been over a month of these issues. |

Is DVDProfiler really worth paying for? And do you have to pay extra to look at on desktop? |
