Question on Fox studio classics set 4
 

Does anyone know if the movies 'The Robe', 'Demitrius','The Bible' and 'Agony..' on this 75th anniversary Fox DVD are anamorphic widescreen? I can't seem to find any info regarding this release.

Look for previous releases of these and that should tell you as Fox isn't doing any new transfers. The old Robe and Demetrius were anamorphic, so at least half of this set should be.

Agony had a featurerette about its restoration, so I imagine it is anamorphic as well... only thing, I thought the "before" looked much better than the "after" in the split screen comparison..

Fox has been using the most recent single-disc versions of titles in the Studio Classics series. So if it's anamorphic there, it will be here. Also, if there are special features like documentaries or commentaries, Fox seems to be porting them over as well.

You won't be able to tell from the box, however. It doesn't give you any information about the features on the film other than the basics (year of release, running time, color/B&W).
