John Candy Comedy Favorites Collection
 

Does anyone here have this set ? I'm looking to get it, but I can't really find any details about it. I know that it has three movies, two on disc one and one one disc two. But is the first disc double sided ?

The first disc is single sided, Uncle Buck and The Great Outdoors are both on one side. At least that's the way my copy is.

I'm thinking of getting this collection, mainly for "The Great Outdoors"....but need some info

Hows does the "The Great Outdoors" look in full anamorphic 1.85, vs the Non anamorphic outside the collection? I have the Non anamorphic DVD and need to use the "zoom in" feature on my TV, which makes the picture look terrible. How would you rate the picture quality in this collection?

If possible, can someone provided the Video bite rate for The Great Outdoors" and "Uncle Buck".

On a 1 to 10 scale, I'd put Great Outdoors as a solid 8....maybe 8.5. It sure looks better than the zoomed, non anamorphic dvd. The bitrate on Great Outdoors tops out at about 7.86 Mbs, but primarily staying around 4.30 to 7.30 Mbs. Uncle Buck tops out at about 9 Mbs, but usually sticks to 4.30 to about 5.30 Mbs. Though the picture quality looks about the same as Great Outdoors.
