Six Million Dollar Man/The Bionic Woman Finally Coming to DVD
Best news ever. TV Shows on DVD has reported that the rights to the Six Million Dollar Man and The Bionic Woman have cleared and that Universal is remastering every season and is preparing both series for release.
While how they're going to be released, single season sets vs complete series sets are still being decided, the two shows are being prepared for a Fall 2010 release and that special behind the scenes and documentaries are being prepared for the upcoming releases. http://www.tvshowsondvd.com/news/Six...-Planned/13551 http://www.tvshowsondvd.com/news/Bio...VD-Plans/13550 |

For me a lifelong fan of both show (I had a huge collection of toys, comics and alot more) this is the greatest news of all-time.
But this is the 3rd time in the last 5 years so I hope it's for real this time because I still watch these shows every other month or so and it never gets old to me. http://www.officialbionicwoman.com/ft/lmft.jpghttp://www.officialbionicwoman.com/ft/lwft.jpg |

If it's Time Life these won't be cheap. Probably complete series set averaging $50/season.

It's good to know that they are producing bonus material for Bionic Woman. The story does mention that Kenneth Johnson is recording 2 commentary tracks and interviews for it.

Re: Six Million Dollar Man/The Bionic Woman Finally Coming to DVD
About damn time!!! I cannot believe it has taken this long for them to be released. :)
Six Million Dollar Man...great show from the seventies. |
Re: Six Million Dollar Man/The Bionic Woman Finally Coming to DVD
If Steve Austin wasn't running in slow motion, maybe he would have gotten on DVD faster. Can't wait to pick up both series!!!

You guys can thank me. After waiting forever, I finally took the opportunity on some sales to grab the Bionic Woman sets from Amazon UK and Sendit, having just received Season 2 fairly recently. Naturally, this has caused these sets to now be released in the United States.
You're all welcome :) |

Re: Six Million Dollar Man/The Bionic Woman Finally Coming to DVD
Yeah, watch the language.
But, I doubt the cost for Six Million Dollar Man will be more than $150 or $200. If you recall, Get Smart wasn't really priced that high. About $150-200 for the complete series set. |
Re: Six Million Dollar Man/The Bionic Woman Finally Coming to DVD
I'm just really fucking stoked over the news of this release. I haven't seen either show since the 80's and I can't wait to finally revist them. Cost is irrelevent.

Re: Six Million Dollar Man/The Bionic Woman Finally Coming to DVD
I Hope at some point they include the reunion movies.
Sandra Bullock was in the first one I believe. |
Re: Six Million Dollar Man/The Bionic Woman Finally Coming to DVD
What, there was no six-year-old "Where's the $6 Million Man?" thread to bump? ;)

I loved these shows when I was a kid (during their first run on tv).... but I'm wondering how well they will hold up now
