Owen was the only Hart there in the Attitude Era for more than a cup of coffee and they aren't advertising him. Davey was there for a brief period in 1999-2000 (like 8 months), but based on a comment in the WWE 13 game that has an Attitude Era mode, they say "Many people consider Wrestlemania Austin vs. Michaels as the first match of the Attitude Era." I would think they have to touch on the Rise of DX with the Harts even if that's the case. But if they continue and consider that the era, there's not much of them on it.

As far as the New Age Outlaws & X-Pac, yeah probably. Wasn't Korderas the key participant in the ref strike angle around Unforgiven 99?

I'm not surprised they didn't advertise Chyna, being the wreck she is.

Just picked up the N.W.O. dvd and man was it disappointing. There's really no new content in there and its all culminated from previous interviews and sets. Sigh.

I have to politely disagree, I liked it and there were a few new interviews.

Re: Official Wrestling DVD Discussion Thread - Volume XIII

disc 3 info is up at this link

http://www.wwedvd.com.au/release/570618/

bummed they never got the iron man match, or atleast jericho/hhh fully loaded 2000, or the wm 2000 fatal four way

there are some repeats for sure, i wish they would of picked rock/foley from rock bottom instead of ss98, since that was already on a set

Re: Official Wrestling DVD Discussion Thread - Volume XIII

I quite like the AE listing, but no 2001 is a head scratcher for me.

For anybody interested, WWEShop's promo code "WWEFAN' gives 25% off any order (no minimum spend): http://bit.ly/WWEFANcode. Expires after today.

Attitude Era Blu---
really wanted the Vince/Triple H title change match.
hopefully it will be on the Triple H dvd next year, as it
isn't likely there will be another McMahon dvd.
If not there, perhaps Attitude Era vol. 2?

Re: Official Wrestling DVD Discussion Thread - Volume XIII

Got my massive ShopTNA DVD haul in today. I originally ordered Lockdown 2012 and the World X Cup 2008 DVD, but they were sold out. To TNA's credit though, they gave me all of my money back quickly. I'm still incredibly happy with this haul since my total cost of $34 after the refund is still less than one PPV would've been - and Slammiversary was the company's best show all year.

As far as the AE set goes, I'm glad that Jericho's full debut will FINALLY be getting a DVD release unblurred - although it'll be slightly hurt by the borders on the side of the screen.

Re: Official Wrestling DVD Discussion Thread - Volume XIII

Theres going to be a wrestling DVD/blu-ray as part of Amazons Black Friday Lightning Week. Monday, November 19 - from 11:20 am ET to 3:20 pm ET - Wrestlemania 28 3 Disc DVD will be on sale for $11.49 and the Wrestlemania 28 2-Disc Blu-Ray will be on sale for $12.49. I think this is the first time ever that a wrestling DVD has been part of Amazons Black Friday Lightning Week. Too bad its one many of us already have.

Probably be the only wrestling DVD/Blu-Ray that will be on sale during Black Friday Week at least when it comes to stores/non wrestling websites like Best Buy, Wal-Mart. Target etc. (I'm sure wrestling sites like Highspots, RF Video and the promotion websites - WWE, TNA, ROH, Dragon Gate etc will have their own Black Friday weekend sales.)

WWE Best PPV Matches of 2012 Cover - http://www.wwedvdnews.com/wwe-best-p...evealed/30078/

The cover also reveals three of the matches which will be included on the release:

“End of an Era” Hell in a Cell Match - The Undertaker vs. Triple H -
Special Guest Referee: Shawn Michaels - WrestleMania XXVIII.

Once in a Lifetime - The Rock vs. John Cena - WrestleMania XXVIII.

No Disqualification Match-WWE Championship Match - CM Punk vs. Daniel Bryan -
Special Guest Referee: AJ - Money in the Bank.

WWE Survivor Series 2012 DVD Cover Revealed Featuring Ryback - http://www.wwedvdnews.com/wwe-surviv...evealed/30074/

Two pretty good covers - especially like the look of the Best PPV Matches Of 2012 one - going old school - the way wrestling and boxing matches were being promoted back in the day via posters that were hung up in towns etc.

Re: Official Wrestling DVD Discussion Thread - Volume XIII

Best of 2012 is an awesome DVD cover...shame it'll probably be marred by the Blu-Ray packaging assuming it's coming to that format too.

AE questions

The BR version has everything on the DVD version and more, right?

Also, there is NO censorship of the WWF logo and the commentators actually SAY "WWF" without any beeps?

That's right. BR version has extras on top, but it does not have the Best Buy exclusive extras on their store exclusive DVD (there's 4 of them).

They can show the WWF logo and say WWF.

Re: Official Wrestling DVD Discussion Thread - Volume XIII

Can't believe they made the cover after this

http://www.sabotagetimes.com/wp-cont...rimeraaaa1.jpg

On another note, it is sickening that Perry Saturn, Eddie Guerrero, and Dean Malenko are featured but not Benoit!

Re: Official Wrestling DVD Discussion Thread - Volume XIII

Now since all that footage is SD how is it presented in a blu ray? I presume they add their designs to the sides, right? Keep in mind that aside from WM blu rays I've boycotted WWE releases due to their censoring of Chris Benoit. So I'm not familiar with their newer releases.

Best Buy Exclusives - only on the DVD and not on Blu-Ray.
GTV – Al Snow & Head.
Mae Young Gives Birth - Raw – Feb 28, 2000.
WWE Womens Championship Match - Lita vs. Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley - Raw – June 12, 2000.
The Dudley Boyz vs. The Hardy Boyz - Raw – July 17, 2000.

LB: Looks like just two matches - unless the two skits segway into a match.

Well the Blu-Ray is coming. The link I posted - http://www.wwedvdnews.com/wwe-best-p...evealed/30078/ - has pictures of
both the DVD and Blu-Ray covers. I don't see the Blu-Ray cover being marred by Blu-Ray packaging though. In fact the DVD cover gets marred more as the top of the Undertakers head is completely chopped off while on the Blu-Ray cover, you only get a little bit of the top of the head chopped off.
