Jesus. Simmer down. He just meant fine in comparison to what everyone was thinking before this news- that Silvervision was done for good.

Thanks for the explanation as I wasn't sure whether or not WWE owned the entire AWA and UWF libraries or not, because of shows airing on ESPN Classics. I wasn't aware of another UWF promotion out there other than the Bill Watts version. I'm assuming those rights for the AWA will be running out soon as they're just airing sporadically on that network right now. I also heard that the WWE still doesn't own the Memphis/USWA library yet with a lot of Lawler's matches on them. is that true as well?

Re: Official Wrestling DVD Discussion Thread - Volume XIII

Silver Vision have updated their site with pre-orders for "Extreme Rules" and "Over The Limit" Blu-Rays as well as the latest in the "Live In The UK" series.
Looks like things are back to normal on the Silver Vision front which is great, as I was concerned WWE was done with them.

I agree...rumors were WWE wanted to distribute the DVDs/Blu-rays in Europe, eliminating Silver Vision. Glad they both worked things out. Love importing the Tagged Classics and Blu-rays not available here.

He never used any of the versions of "American Badass" at a Wrestlemania. Limp Bizkit's "Rollin" that was used at 17 and 18 will probably be dubbed with this:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iKT5moqjavg
I don't know about 19 though, as the song was performed live. Maybe they will just cut that out.

Re: Official Wrestling DVD Discussion Thread - Volume XIII

For those who bought the ECW set, what do you feel about the language censoring during the matches? I understand the music censoring and I accept that. Hell, the old pioneer dvds skipped the wrestler intros all together, but to censor the fan chants to make this set TV-14 sounds sacrilege to me. Is it really bad or are my fears unfounded?

Re: Official Wrestling DVD Discussion Thread - Volume XIII

I find the censoring on the ECW release horrible. Why can't they sell a censored and uncensored version? I guarantee that the uncensored version would vastly outsell the censored one.

ECW has always been a more adult product, WWE should embrace this not bury it. From what I've seen of the Vince run ECW, this is the vital point that they missed. Old school ECW broke through with adult storylines, not pandering to little jimmy!

I'm not bothered about swearing getting censored, but I'd rather they just cut the entrances all together. Insulting my intelligence by putting songs recorded in 2001 over footage from 1996 is what I don't like.

100% agree with this! Tbh I'm more focused on the matches than the fan chants unless it's a WrestleMania and they edit them out which I'm glad they didnt do this year the YES! chants were incredible

Re: Official Wrestling DVD Discussion Thread - Volume XIII

I know that TLC 2011 was not region free on BD and that Silvervision went back to strictly Region B. So does anyone know if Elimination Chamber 2012 brought things back to region free or are still restricted?

Re: Official Wrestling DVD Discussion Thread - Volume XIII

Thanks, but it's not updated. Night of Champions, Hell in a Cell, Vengeance & Survivor Series of 2011 were all Region Free along with Summerslam 2011, which is already on that list.

Is there anyone who owns Silvervision's release of Elimination Chamber 2012 that can tell me if it works on Region A players?

I got EC 2012 and it doesn't work on region A players.

I read somewhere that Silver Vision have reissued Summerslam 2011 to Survivor Series 2011 and are now region locked. Not sure how you can tell, but someone said on another forum that Summerslam 2011 doesn't work on region A players.

This list is only those Blu-Ray's that were released in the United States.

Then it's still incorrect. Summerslam 2011 was never released in the United States, only 2010 was.

I'll keep note as for the next revision. Weren't there any plans to release SummerSlam 2011 on Blu-Ray in the United States? My memory is fuzzy right now.

Yeah, I believe there might have been plans but they fell through due to poor PPV BD Sales here in the US.

Its a shame that WWE Blu-Ray's haven't really caught on with the masses. After watching some of the Blu-Ray's I have, I feel there is a big market for them. If the WWE would release more Blu-Ray's and entice them to buy it, then sales could really pick up.

Ever since I got a PlayStation 3, I've been really taking advantage of Blu-Ray's. Since then, the WWE has gained me as a Blu-Ray convert and consumer.
