I've read Highspots have bought the rights to sell ECW DVDs from RF Video but they would have still have to include the RF Video name on the packaging and content.

The quality are from VHS masters, so they are very good quality. The "Best of" compilations are not fan cam unless specified. They also have a lot of fan cam shows. I own a few like the two involving Scott Hall, Tazz vs. Awesome from 2000, the last two ECW shows in 2001 and the one where Raven returned in 1999 teaming with Dreamer...all were very good quality, there is no commentary on them though.

Glad WWE put up the cash to license the metallica theme, it was epic having the theme play while the cell lowered with HHH and Taker face-to-face and HBK in the middle.

If you have a Best Buy in your area, the standard DVD is on sale until Saturday 5/12/2012 for 16.99 but they are selling fast, so if you want it, get there very soon as they should be in the new release section at the front of the store.

Seems like a licensing issue...possibly WWE looking for a new distributor for Europe.

Re: Official Wrestling DVD Discussion Thread - Volume XIII

The price of the Wrestlemania 28 Blu-Ray at Amazon.com has been decreased from $19.99 to $16.99 -
same price as the DVD. Noticed the price decreases this afternoon when I went to order the WM28 Blu-Ray
along with the Expendables Blu-Ray/DVD/Digital Copy which is priced at $7.99. Unfortunately with the price
decrease from the WM28 Blu-Ray - it put my order at $24.98 - so I had to find something for 2 cents to get
my order to $25.00 to be eligible for free shipping. So I bought one of those sticker books-Super Heroes-for
$1.00 and now I have free shipping. LB...

Update: Since its a new week - the price of both the Wrestlemania 28 Blu-Ray and Wrestlemania 28
DVD on Amazon has increased. The Blu-Ray is now $24.96 and the DVD is now $19.96.
So the additional $3.00 off on the Wrestlemania Blu-Ray wounded up being just a one day sale. LB...

Re: Official Wrestling DVD Discussion Thread - Volume XIII

Looks like WWE and Silvervision's partnership is coming to an end according to this link:

"The word making the rounds internally is that Silvervision is ending its long run as WWE's European distributor for DVD and Blu-Ray. That's a shame for those markets as in many cases, there were blu-ray releases for those areas that were far superior than what was released here, as well as older content (including old Coliseum videos) that were never released here via DVD"

http://pwinsider.com/article/68438/w...-news.html?p=1
Sucks, if this is true...I love the Tagged Classics and Blu-rays that were not available here. One of the main reasons i got a region free DVD player is to import them.

This would likely mean the end of tagged classics if a new distributor is found. There were still many left, especially the compilation sets like Wrestlefest 91-95, Battle of the Superstars, and many others from the early 90s that are yet to be released.

I wonder if WWE was upset with them keeping the Blu-Ray releases last year, region free?

Wouldn't surprise me, Silver Vision making those Blu-rays region free is violating their license agreement, according to which they are only allowed to serve Europe.

They must have had an agreement when DVDs and Blu-rays were taking off that they would have to be locked to region 2 and B.

If your one that hasn't had any problems with them and add in the fact that theres no tax,
free shipping since your order is more than $15.00 and theres no travel - you can get the
Blu-Ray at DeepDiscount.com for $23.76.

If you can wait a few days, Amazon has been lowering the prices of their recent WWE Blu-Rays
by $3.00 or so later in release week - maybe Clash Of The Champions will be lowered as well.

LB...

Re: Official Wrestling DVD Discussion Thread - Volume XIII

It's more than worth the measly price difference to just order it from Amazon. Deep Discount is really spotty.
