Good to know...pretty curious to see what they include...hope they include all the promo segments leading to Punk/Cena at MitB. Those were brilliant.

Yeah I guess it will be. I wonder if it will be packaged as one big set, or as two in one.

I would think it would be a continuing set going between Raw to Smackdown (as I'm sure it will be stacked in the favour of Raw).

Guess we'll see in a few hours.

I'm hoping for not just main event matches and highlights, as often the under/mid-cards are better than the main events, but I'm ready for disappointment

Agreed!

It's a great set...some things missing like:

- Cena/Punk Summerslam contract signing
- Orton/Sheamus/Barrett Triple Threat Cage match from Jan. 3 was surprisingly good
- Edge/Gabriel
- Miz/Mysterio
- Orton/Ziggler - RAW - Aug. 29
- Punk/HHH segment before NOC where they mention their real names
- Edge's initial retirement from RAW - i guess they're saving that for the rumored Edge DVD/Blu-ray

I guess they will recap December like with Best of RAW 09 and 10. But would loved to have the 4 Way match from the Slammy RAW with Ziggler/Ryder/Rhodes/Bryan. Other than that, it's a damn good set. I'm liking the Blu-ray exclusives, so definitely picking that up.

^ There's some things that they will hold back on, for Edge's new set as you mentioned, as well as the rumored CM Punk set and maybe a Sheamus set sometime down the line etc

Re: Official Wrestling DVD Discussion Thread - Volume XIII

dillkid, have you ever tried reaching out with silvervision and getting promotion free stuff to you? I mean with all the sharings you made here and in your channel - you deserve atleast consideration from Silvervision?

Have you tried that? Highly appreciate your response

Re: Official Wrestling DVD Discussion Thread - Volume XIII

There were honestly so many great free TV matches this year, that it wouldn't be right to be disappointed if any of them were missing. Out of all the good ones, the ones I would have liked to have seen on the set are:

-Randy Orton vs. Sheamus vs. Wade Barrett - RAW - 01/03
-Dolph Ziggler vs. Edge - SmackDown - 02/11
-Kofi Kingston vs. Dolph Ziggler - RAW - 05/30 & 6/20
-Rey Mysterio vs. CM Punk - RAW - 05/30
-Randy Orton vs. Sheamus - NoDQ - SmackDown - 06/10
-Rey Mysterio vs. The Miz - RAW - 07/25
-Alberto Del Rio vs. Rey Mysterio - RAW - 08/15
-John Cena vs. CM Punk - RAW 08/22
-CM Punk vs. Alberto Del Rio - 11/28

I am, however, very happy (and not surprised), to see:

-The Miz vs. John Morrison - RAW - 01/03
-Dolph Ziggler vs. Kofi Kingston - SmackDown - 01/07
-Rey Mysterio vs. Alberto Del Rio - SmackDown - 01/07
-The Rock Returns to RAW - 02/14
-Christian vs. Alberto Del Rio - SmackDown - 03/18
-Edge vs. Kane - SmackDown - 01/07
-John Cena vs. CM Punk - RAW - 01/17
-John Cena vs. The Miz - RAW - 05/02
-Christian vs. Randy Orton - SmackDown - 05/06
-Randy Orton vs. Sheamus - SmackDown - 06/03
-CM Punk Speaks His Mind - RAW - 06/27
-Rey Mysterio vs. John Cena - RAW - 07/25
-John Morrison vs. R-Truth - RAW - 08/15
-Randy Orton vs. Christian - SmackDown - 08/30
-Sin Cara vs. Sin Cara - SmackDown - 10/21

I would have liked to have seen the Raw Rumble included on the set: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7UHfzPjGYiQ and I was very surprised that Kelly Kelly's Divas Title win from the 'Power to the People' Raw, the mixed tag match with Edge/Kelly vs Dolph/Vickie from Smackdown and a couple of Muppet segments (the actual Muppets not Johnny Ace and Outunga LOL) weren't included.

Randy Orton vs. Kane Street Fight from July 22 was pretty good too...the one were Henry injured Kane after the match and the No DQ match with Sheamus that BullGooseLoony mentioned.

Re: Official Wrestling DVD Discussion Thread - Volume XIII

I was looking on Target.com for some wrestling figures for the kids so I typed in WWE and hit enter. What I got was some figures and about 6-7 pages of WWE DVDs going back to 2002. The lowest price DVD is Jake the Snake Roberts for $5.19 but their are a ton of $5.95 & $6.95 DVDs including a lot of Wrestlemanias going back to WM 20. Most of the 2011 PPV DVDs that I saw are only $6.95 plus if you spend over $50 you get free shipping.

If you type in WWE DVD you'll only get 2-3 titles so type in WWE and then click on price low to high.

Upcoming Triple H DVD may be cancelled. If not, at least postponed.

It looks like the new UK exclusive Blu-rays starting from Summerslam 2011 are supposedly region-free;

http://www.wwedvdnews.com/wwe-best-p...trailer/19765/

If that is the case i'm definitely going to be importing them from amazon.co.uk.

I can vouch for this being true. I imported SummerSlam 2011 and also Royal Rumble 2009 and they played with no issue on my Region 1 Sony players. Night of Champions 2011 is on its way to me as I type this.

Re: Official Wrestling DVD Discussion Thread - Volume XIII

Has anyone had any problems with the Best PPV Matches Blu-Ray? I bought it a few weeks ago and went to watch it. Disc 1 played fine, but disc 2 wouldn't play. I returned it to FYE and got a new one. I have the same problem with this copy. I don't know that the store would allow me to exchange it again, and I don't even know if they have another copy in stock anyway. I'd like for WWE to handle this since it seems to be a problem on their end. I looked on WWE.com, but was unable to find any contact info for that part of the company. Maybe I'll try to call WWEShop and see if they can direct me to the right department.

I own Royal Rumble 2009 and it doesn't work on any of my Region A players.

I've got the Google TV Sony player (NSZ-GT1) Region 1/A and it plays with no issues. It's a region locked player as far as I can tell.

Maybe later copies of RR2009 are region-free...when did you buy yours?

As for for the Sony player, if you bought it from a 3rd party seller online, you likely got one with a hardware region-free mod, which cost a little extra.

Because i have read RR2009 and SS2009 were in fact region locked...but never know, later shipments Silvervision made them region free.

I have that player in another room and it doesn't play any Region B discs. Either your player is modded or Silvervision released copies that were region-free at some point.
