I agree on Del Rio - the guy pretty much came to the WWE all ready to go. I've seen some of his pre-WWE stuff online, and it looks like the guy has the mat skills to go with his impressive mic work. I really wish he'd go to Raw, because I never watch SmackDown.

Yes it would be nice (Though I will only buy the DVD under protest for them not all being out on Blu), but are PPV spoilers allowed so soon after the event aired in this thread?

Re: Official Wrestling DVD Discussion Thread - Volume XIII

Quick question I hope someone can answer are the BDs sold in Canada the same as the ones sold in Best Buy as far as extras go? I'm looking for a way I can order them myself without having to wait or get someone to buy them for me from Best Buy.

Exactly the same as the ones sold at Best Buy. Only difference is the outer packaging the Best Buy Exclusive sticker on the front is not there and the back has a Canadian Home Video rating sticker. All content is the same.

Amazon.ca is a good way to get the WWE Blu-rays if Best Buys in your area are sold out and you don't want to fork out an arm and leg on greed-bay.

Re: Official Wrestling DVD Discussion Thread - Volume XIII

TNA is the crap right now as they seriously need to overhaul creative and bounce Hogan and Bischoff frim there immediately. Dixie seriously has no idea of how to run this company and they need to further develop their youth and stop trying to compete with WWE over ratings because it just won't happen. As for WWE, it's all about the money but those buyrates and the fact ratings are tanking has to have Vinny Mac concerned. A forst step to unify the titles and end this stupid brand extension once and for all and start developing better talent from their minor league systems and get rid of the Divas as they add nothing to the broadcast. They're awful wrestlers and bad talkers but good to look at, sometimes.

Re: Official Wrestling DVD Discussion Thread - Volume XIII

You know, there IS a wrestling thread in the sports forum for those who want to discuss the actual product. This thread is intended to discuss wrestling dvds. All of this talk about the companies and ppvs kind of derails things a bit.

I know Amazon.ca has it up for pre-order, but is it confirmed we're getting a BD in the States?

Re: Official Wrestling DVD Discussion Thread - Volume XIII

numbers don't lie, look at what raw has been doing lately, the last 2 weeks for example

then look at the number back in 98-00

there getting like 30% what they were back then, obviously there is a reason fans turned off, and most of the fans who do watch are under the age of 12 or die hards that will continure to watch no matter what crap they dish out

Great stuff exactly what I wanted to hear. I'm in the UK so I've been getting a friend to buy them from Bst Buy for me but if it's going to be every PPV and some of the multi disc sets getting released from now it it gets a bit much to ask of him. Now I can just order them myself from amazon.ca.

Re: Official Wrestling DVD Discussion Thread - Volume XIII

Or playusa.com Platt. Pretty good for WWE Blu Rays, although SummerSlam 2010 didn't come into stock for some reason, but it may have now. Those are the Canadian versions and the prices are great including delivery. Had a few of them and as mentioned the only difference is a small white sticker at the back. Nothing like KOCH Vision logos anymore. Hope to get the Smackdown Blu there.

Re: Official Wrestling DVD Discussion Thread - Volume XIII

Looks good prices are a bit higher but with free shipping it works out around the same as amazon. Will give them a try for the SD set and see how it goes.

Awesome cover. I can't wait to get that DVD. I hope it's a 3-disc set.

It saids 3-Disc Set on the cover. Pretty good cover.

Whose the wrestler between Jerry Lawler and John Cena?
Whose the wrestler next to Rey Mysterio Jr and just above the T?
(Looks like Triple H but its not him since hes down below above
Ted Dibiase and Randy Orton.)

Top 5 missing from the cover: Hulk Hogan, Mick Foley, Ric Flair, Bret Hart
and Shawn Michaels. I understand the first three missing since they are
now in TNA. But no Hart or Michaels? I haven't looked at the list but I
would assume those two are top 5 or at the worst top 10. They should
be on the cover and they can replace the two wrestlers who I don't know
who they are.

EDIT: I realized that there will probably be wrestlers on the back cover but
noway Bret Hart and Shawn Michaels deserve to be there - they are definiately
front cover worthy.

That cover is shit, alot of them shouldn't be on the cover let alone the DVD it's self. Does it have any matches on it?

If there was a list of all the wrestlers ever ranked from greatest to least greatest, the Chumpster would be at the bottom of that list, not the top.

It is a crime that the others aren't on there.

But it doesn't. It says top 50 superstars. It's not a "zomg workratez" set.

Classy cover on the Heenan set, and I'm also going to get that one. The man has done so much for the business, and it's nice to see him recognized with his own DVDs.

I don't see "The Macho Man" Randy Savage OR Andre The Giant on that cover either....you know they both definitely have to be on a list of 50 Greatest or it is a joke IMO....

Have the Survivor Series Anthologies ever dropped below 39ish? Any deals to be had on these?
