Thank you for the explanation. Having both in hand this is correct. The original vol 1 is a 2 disc set, while the box set vol 1 is a single disc.

Don't know yet about the video quality of the 1 disc but they were both cheap enough to grab them both just in case something was different.

Re: Official Wrestling DVD Discussion Thread - Volume XIII

I noticed in the new BB ad there's no sale price listed for the Best of PPV matches blu ray coming next week. Hopefully they have a opening week sale when I get there because 30 is a little steep. I see ebay has the greed covered with 50+ buy it now preorders...

Maybe it will be an in store deal when you walk in Tuesday morning. In Canada WWE Blu-rays are expensive as hell.

WM26 prices here ranged from $28-$37 plus tax. RR 2010 was $30 (Amazon.ca) and the cheapest for Best PPV Matches is $32 (Amazon.ca).

It looks like the blu-ray will be rare around here too, a friend of mine works at HMV and he told me they only got 1 copy of the Blu-ray and 8 for the DVD, and other stores only carrying maximum of 3. Not sure about Best Buy, Future Shop or Walmart.

I'm still going to pick it up since these won't get any cheaper over here.

That's why I pre-ordered with in-store pickup, to hopefully make sure I get my copy.

That's interesting because on Best Buy's website it's listed at $24.99 with in-store pick-up as an option. Is this the lowest price we'll see? Better than $30 though. I'm going to order it when I get home from work I think.

Re: Official Wrestling DVD Discussion Thread - Volume XIII

Looks like WWE is releasing Best of RAW Seasons 1 and 2,

http://www.amazon.com/Best-Raw-Seaso...937833&sr=1-12

It's only 3 discs, so it's probably just best moments, matches, etc. not full episodes. I hope this time they give us the complete Flair/Perfect Loser Leaves Town match rather than the cut version from RAW 15th Anniversary.

Anyone else notice that the TNA Fandemonium DVD is in widescreen? o.O

Hopefully they start doing this for all their PPV DVDs!

I'm still hoping for a price drop at Amazon. $31.49 is a bit steep for me at the moment.

Re: Official Wrestling DVD Discussion Thread - Volume XIII

You know what would be awesome? That Best of ROH on HDNet Volume 1 being released on Blu-Ray, but I know that obviously that won't happen.

I'm hoping that this is at least widescreen, just as they aried on HDNet with graphics and commentary intact.

The DVD that is.

I saw it on Sunday myself at the Bohemia, NY location. Isn't the BD exclusive to Best Buy for a month or two?

According to CD Universe, Wrestlemania 26 on Blu-ray was pushed back until Aug. 31, 2010. They're usually pretty accurate with their info so it doesn't surprise if it's correct.

Re: Official Wrestling DVD Discussion Thread - Volume XIII

Picked up the Best Buy Exclusive Blu-Ray of Best of PPV Matches 09-10 for $29.99. The store I was at didn't stock the regular dvd version, although it is out at Walmart for $20 and KMart for $19.99 respectively.

Also took a chance and hit 2 FYE's to see if the MCM/Beer Money dvd was put out early-no dice. Guess I'll have to wait til next week for it's official release.

Re: Official Wrestling DVD Discussion Thread - Volume XIII

Went into best buy around 10:30am, there were 2 copies of the BD on the shelf. Make that 1 copy since i bought one of them. lol

PQ as usual looks amazing by the way and it's hosted by Michael Cole & Matt Striker in the TV Production truck, they appear occasionally to tell you about the upcoming match.

Was the BB Exclusive Best of PPV blu-ray on sale from a lower price, or is $29.99 the actual price?

If it's on sale then I'm on it, if not then I can wait.

I read the actual price is 29.99.

But it seems that these Blu-rays don't get any cheaper, WM24 and 25 are still $30 on Amazon. Also being a Best Buy Exclusive for couple months, price will hold up at $30, maybe even $5 more after this week.

Even in Canada i see WM24 and WM25 at $35 a piece, i bought both when they came out and they were like $26 the first week of sale. WM26 is around the same price as well.

Re: Official Wrestling DVD Discussion Thread - Volume XIII

I ask because the WM 26 blu-ray was on sale for $24.99, and that's probably the cheapest it's ever going to be. If it's always $29.99, then so be it, but five bucks is five bucks.
