Let's hope an insert can be made for this set too.

FWIW I saw it already out at Best Buy and Wal-Mart today.

I too hit a few stores today, because during the holiday season things like wrestling titles slip out to the sales floor a few days before street date (like the 2 UFC titles I found a day early last week). And wouldn't ya know, the last store I stopped at, the Walmart closest to where I live, I found 3 copies of 50 Greatest Superstars. It was 19.96 same price as Kmart, so ofcourse I was happy to pick it up!

Now we gotta hang tight til Survivor Series Blu-Ray on 12/21 and then Heenan on 12/28!

Any news or pre-order listings for the TLC 2010 PPV on BD? I know we have Survivor Series coming up and Rumble, Chamber & Mania on the calender for next year, but what about TLC?

Re: Official Wrestling DVD Discussion Thread - Volume XIII

Rumble and Elimination Chamber 2011 announced for Blu Ray but no sign of TLC yet.

^ Those two PPVs will be in Blu Ray/DVD combo packs according to http://www.wwedvdnews.com/mwwe-wrest...d-bluray/7771/. That's a first and not something I like the idea of much.

Does anyone know if the recent US WWE blu-rays are region coded? I know the UK ones are but wasn't sure about the US ones. Any help would be great, thanx.

What would this Blu-Ray/DVD combo pack even mean? How would it work, exactly?

Basically the Blu-ray will packaged with 2 discs, 1 for Blu-ray copy and 1 for DVD...just like with all these movies being released from other studios.

Wait, so the Blu-ray and the DVD will have the same content? So it's basically just more expensive than the regular Blu-ray?

The site said they will also release a standalone DVD, so looks like it will be 2 versions of the ppv; DVD and Blu-ray+DVD combo.

Usually the Blu-ray versions are like $5 more than DVD in the US and about $10 more in Canada.

I wonder if TNA will start releasing on blu-ray soon. We don't get Spike HD in Canada so not sure how Impact looks and i haven't ordered a TNA ppv but they have the HD versions for $45 while the SD versions are $35.

Thanks for your response, but I was asking whether or not the Blu-Ray and the DVD that comes with it in the combo pack would have the same content and if it would be more expensive than the stand alone Blu-Rays.

As others said they would be in the same set, one BD copy and one DVD copy. I supose so that you can watch it in HD downstairs, and then if you are on holiday or something you can watch the DVD there on a portable player or something.

Doubt it on both questions.

Most likely they'll still carry the $25-30 price tag, and the Blu-Ray will keep the extra bonus of the full go-home RAW episode while the DVD will probably just have a copy of the event on it, or just be the standard retail version of the DVD.

Basically, they're just gonna toss the DVD version in as a bonus with the standalone Blu-Ray.

Thanks, was hoping that they were region free. I liked the idea of DVD/Blu-Ray sets. Fingers crossed that all PPVs go blu in 2011.

Re: Official Wrestling DVD Discussion Thread - Volume XIII

Hey guys,

I was wondering if anyone is in posession of the Austin vs McMahon DVD from the Attitude Collection and are willing to sell? Will pay up to $40 for it.

If not, can anyone direct me as to where I could find it?

Thanks!

Re: Official Wrestling DVD Discussion Thread - Volume XIII

Tomorrow is the official release of the Top 50 Superstars of All Time, so here my custom insert.

***SPOILER WARNING***
If you don't want the ranking spoiled I would suggest downloading the front side, AFTER watching disc 1.

Hope everyone (if anyone!) who uses it finds it useful

A little closer to the release date. I need to fix a couple of little bits, but I'm really busy at the moment.

EDIT: I'll try to get it up here for the weekend,

Started working on a Raw 2010 insert last week (just in case!)

Re: Official Wrestling DVD Discussion Thread - Volume XIII

TLC is up for pre-order at Silvervision without a Blu-Ray counterpart, so it looks like there won't be a BD release for it. Really hope we get all events on Blu next year instead of holes in the collection.

Not sure if i'm allowed to post this here but the should have been Kofi Kingston DVD turned PPV is showing on Sky Sports (next showing @ 1.30am Fri 17 Dec on SS4) it will be a 45 min version of the 2 hour PPV but still better than nothing.
