Re: Official Wrestling DVD Discussion Thread - Volume XIII

Ok so I recently bought 4 movies on DVD that has Wrestlers in them. The 4 are Wrong Side of Town,The Marine 2,The Stranger, and Damage. I have watched Wrong Side of Town & The Stranger, and while not the best movies, are pretty entertaining IMO,tho I haven't watched Damage or Marine 2 yet. While I disagree with HD Digest's opinions on WSOT & TS,I'm glad I read the WSOT review because it gave me a heads up that Batista was NOT the star of the movie, even tho thats what the cover wants to make you believe. What sucks is Batista was pretty damn good in his small part, and while bad acting never really bothers me RVD wasn't that great, but like I said liked them both(not anywhere close to my favorite Movies starring Wrestlers tho) and plan on watching Damage & The Marine 2 on my upcoming vacation.

Re: Official Wrestling DVD Discussion Thread - Volume XIII

On the Extreme Rules 2010 DVD, the Shawn Michaels retirement speech is just the video package of highlights, not the full speech. Major disappointment, since it should have been on the Mania DVD anyway.

The cover for the Elimination Chamber Anthology looks awesome!

Sucks that the speech is not in full...haven't had a chance to watch the DVD, thanks for letting us know KliniK.

Can't find the WCW/Perfect/Dusty & HBK/Hardy dvds anywhere. If there's anyone who'd be williing to pick them up for me and mail them to me, I'd appreciate it greatly. Ofcourse will pay for shipping plus $10 extra for your time/effort. Just shoot me a PM if you can, thanks!

I too own all 4 of those movies, I've only watched The Stranger so far, lousy movie, it barely kept my attention, though SCSA is not bad at all in his role. The whole Russian spy thing was pretty far fetched to me.

I'm planning on watching Marine 2 & Damage this week too. I've heard good things about Marine 2, not much about Damage though.

Re: Official Wrestling DVD Discussion Thread - Volume XIII

I found Marine, Marine 2 and Damage pretty enjoyable flicks. I got Damage on Blu-ray and i thought it was a pretty good action movie, picture and sound quality were great too...Austin was a complete badass!

Haven't seen Wrong Side of Town though.

If you really want to see Austin being a badass, you have to see the Condemned.

Re: Official Wrestling DVD Discussion Thread - Volume XIII

Watched Marine 2 & Damage last night, both were pretty good. Dibiase was great in Marine 2. Austin opened a can of whoop ass in Damage-I wonder if he took the bumps or if a stunt double was used. I"m pretty sure it was a double since it's been said one wrong bump and Austin will be paralyzed. I have The Condemned on dvd, planning on watching it one of these days.

Other "wrestler" movies I own are Behind Enemy Lines: Columbia (Mr. Kennedy); 12 Rounds (John Cena); and Wrong Side of Town (Batista, RVD)...all 3 I plan on watching this week.

On an unreleated note, don't forget, tomorrow is the release date for Undertaker's Deadliest Matches

FIRST DETAILS ON WWE'S CHRIS JERICHO DVD SET
By Mike Johnson on 2010-06-07 13:28:14
The forthcoming WWE Chris Jericho DVD set, which we mentioned in the Elite section awhile back, will be a 3 DVD set. It's currently slated for a 9/21 release.
WWE is also working on a new John Cena DVD set that may be timed with the theatrical release of his next WWE Studios film "Legendary."

Just thought i'd share this on the board.

DX23,

It's a one-week sale at Kmart starting Tuesday through Saturday as that's the best price going for the set right now.

Again, I've definitely seen an insert in Unforgiven 2001 too. Just saying what I've seen. I know they were taken out in the end when resealed but in my experience inserts were almost always found in the WWF DVDs that had the "security device enclosed" factory seal sticker on the bottom.

WOW! pretty surprised by this...i said to myself i wouldn't order from ShopTNA again but i caved and ordered this along with Destination X 2010. Maybe i will have a better experience this time. No telling how long this will last and i don't want to resort to greed bay where they will charge an arm an leg, so might as well bite the bullet now.

Maybe they will also re-release Best of 3 Live Kru too soon.

Re: Official Wrestling DVD Discussion Thread - Volume XIII

To set the record straight THERE IS NO BEST OF AMAZING RED DVD RELEASED BY TNA!

There's a Best of Amazing Red in TNA dvd out there, but it's not official like Best of AMW & Best of 3LK dvds.

I'm guessing the Best of AMW has been sitting and they didn't print more because they thought there'd be little interest. Guess again! The problem is people aren't wanting it because AMW is some great tag team with a huge legacy, people want it cause it's tough to find and only a limited number got out originally. I guess we can expect the Best of 3LK to pop up soon too.

Glad everyone is getting this hard to find dvd now for cheap, too bad I can't make a fortune off of my extra copy now

If my memory serves me well (forgive me as I'm getting old), I may have seen those at alocal Wal-Mart near my house and IF I see those again tomorrow, I'll do my best to get both of them for you, so shoot me an e-mail at [email protected] and rest assured, I'll keep you posted on this. I do believe I saw both of those titles there yesterday.
