Re: Official Wrestling DVD Discussion Thread - Volume XIII

The big Raw 12-discer that's released tomorrow is on sale for Cyber Monday. Lowest price at WWE Shop $44.99 with code CYBER and that gives free shipping too. Amazon has it around $60.

Sorry for all the requests,I'm just not very good at screenshots of the covers to upload myself to filmaf, and I know some people can just resize the covers that are on the websites,I'm not good at that either,it just bugs me that they have such varying things from those sites in their database, and I like having them listed in my online collection.

Also would like to request for somebody to add the Pain & Gain Collector's Edition Blu-Ray to their database.

The whole segment setting up Benoit/Angle at Mania is removed, Benoits entrance for the six man is edited out and there's the same removal of commentary that they've had on the other sets he's been in.

So WWE is outright lying on the DVD cover.

I wonder what would happen if there were a class action lawsuit regarding this.

It's false advertising no matter how you look at it.

There are several other edits than the Benoit ones too. I'm not sure which wrestlingdvdnews.com article has them listed, but its pretty ridiculous how much WAS edited. Music, fans chanting "asshole",choking, and a handful of others.

Rebellion 2002
Global Warning
Insurrextion 2003

My Global Warning Tour DVD has an insert. The other ones I recorded off of PPV so I don't know but most of my older WWF DVDs have an insert.

Re: Official Wrestling DVD Discussion Thread - Volume XIII

Back when they were releasing WWF Videos on Coliseum Home Video they would list a match on the cover but wouldn't have the match on the tape but I doubt anyone would go through the hassle of a lawsuit over it. I remember buying WWF Villains for $59.95 and on the cover it advertised Magnificent Muraco hanging Ricky Steamboat but it wasn't on the tape. I just figured they printed the covers early and then made changes to the tape.

Full content is out for the Best of RAW/SD 2013 DVD: http://wwene.ws/19PTdRR. I quite like it overall, just wish there was more to it. Looks like we're not getting a Blu-ray which doesn't help.

Is the Raw 20th Anniversary set some limited edition deal, or are retailers just slow in restocking it?

To the best of my knowledge, it isn't a limited edition or anything. Kind of odd though that even Amazon doesn't have it in-stock at the moment.

So was there ever a WWE Best of 2013 PPV blu-ray set? It was on Best Buy's site, then taken down.

Not as far as I can tell. Best Buy also supposedly had a Blu-ray release of Survivor Series, but I never managed to find it. I'd ordered one online, but it ended up getting cancelled.

According to PWInsider.com, it's going out of print. To quote them:

"The WWE Raw 20th Anniversary box set has completed it's print run. Whatever is out there on the retail market is what's left out there."

In the same article, the also mention this upcoming title:

"WWE will be releasing a unique DVD and Blu-Ray titled "Best of Raw After the Show" on 4/22. The promotional material for the release reads, "For 52 weeks a year, the WWE Universe is glued to their seats for 3 hours of pulse pounding action on Monday Night Raw. But what happens after the cameras stop rolling? Now, in this new DVD/Blu-ray set, The Best of Raw: After the Show, fans get a unique perspective of WWE's flagship show, with never-before seen footage of Raw's aftermath. Traditionally, Raw has continued on into the night purely for the enjoyment of the live audience. Now, no one is left in the dark as all the top Superstars in Raw history are presented in rare form. Get a heavy dose of WWE's most colorful Superstars- The Rock, Stone Cold Steve Austin, DX, John Cena and more, showing off their larger than life personalities, often times shedding their on-camera personas for the sake of pure fun. From Austin beer bashes, birthday celebrations, humorous improv, crowd interaction, and dark matches sure to please the hardcore fan, these are the moments that can only happen in WWE."

I have a handful of divas titles. I got them ridiculously cheap, otherwise I wouldn't have bothered.

I guess I will try to get Lita and Trish dvds only...it would be a pain to get all of the others as I don't really care about them at all.

Re: Official Wrestling DVD Discussion Thread - Volume XIII

I have a bunch of the Diva DVDs that came out between 2002-2005. I sold the Lita disc for a nice amount on Amazon but I still have these:

Tropical Pleasure
Divas Undressed
Divas Desert Heat
Divas Do New York
$250,000 Raw Diva Search
Trish Stratus Stratusfaction

I also have a couple on DVD that I transferred from the commercial VHS release:

Divas in Hedonism
Divas Postcard from the Caribbean
Divas South of the Border
Viva Las Divas

If you're a fan of the Divas from that time period they are worth getting but I doubt you will watch them more than once or twice.

Re: Official Wrestling DVD Discussion Thread - Volume XIII

Content for the HBK Mr. WrestleMania DVD is out (http://wwene.ws/MmE1k8). A self explanatory one of course but for anybody interested. As expected the WM20 triple threat didn't make the cut.

Good news and bad news regarding the Raw 20th Anniversary set. The good news is that amazon.com has it back in stock. The bad news is the price has jumped to $89.99

It's a rare set so if one can get it, do so before it skyrockets to three times that amount.
