Star Trek TNG DVD Menu Question
This is a stupid question, but I brought the ST:TNG boxset from CH last year when it was on sale. I go to watch Best of Both Worlds today, and the episode menu looks like this:
http://img3.imageshack.us/img3/1130/sttng.png Was it like this on the original Season 3 release? It's so different from the other episode menus, I found it a bit odd they would do that for one epiosde. The menu looks similar to the "Best of Borg" set that was released. |
Re: Star Trek TNG DVD Menu Question
Yes - That was the menu for "The Best of Both Worlds, Part 1" on the original ST:TNG Season 3 release.
The menu was presented in this fashion due to the special status that the show has among the fans. I never purchased the "Best of Borg" set since I already owned all the Borg eps (except for the "Enterprise" ep); but I'm not at all surprised that they would resurrect this menu for that set. For the record, a menu similar to this was used for ST:VOY, "Scorpion, Part 1" as well as most of the ST:VOY Season 4 set. |
Re: Star Trek TNG DVD Menu Question
Yeah, I have both TNG season 3 and the Borg Fan Collective releases. I bought the Fan Collective long before I found the season sets at a price I was willing to pay. I was kind of surprised to learn that the Borg-ified menu wasn't something they'd created just for the Fan Collective release.

Re: Star Trek TNG DVD Menu Question
In one of the laters seasons, there is another menu that plays the 'flute' song that Picard fans have come to love...
