That's incredible.

I don't suppose you've ever done a video walkthrough of that? I'd be interested in watching.

I think there is a video tour of that room- that's the way I want my collection to look when I move to a place that has room for that, but I could never do with that video setup as my only way of watching things.

I think Alan means that it is not set up like a traditional "Home Theater" viewing environment. Your set up is genius since so much past media needs a CRT for it's native display (to include LD). I would probably have your room and a dedicated HT/living room as well (which you may also have).

I need to post updated pics of my stuff. I just moved and haven't posted anything for the last three moves.

Nice collection!! But what is with the wood slats for the ceiling? Is this an attic room?

Don't see any sound system for starters. And being an aficionado of past home video formats, I don't see anything wrong with watching them on an HDTV- I have all of mine running through my A/V receiver and upconverted to 1080p with black side bars (I refused to watch standard-def with GREY side bars and delayed buying an HDTV until they fixed that!) The only thing lacking is ability to watch field-sequential 3D, which I have on a few VHS tapes and DVDs as well as old Sega Master System games.

It's almost embarassing posting my collection considering many of the others shown here. You folks have some truly jaw-dropping collections.

Mine is very basic and comparatively paltry, but here are a few pics of my collection and living area.

Thank you! I really admire the many collections here. It's a bit daunting seeing friggin pirate rooms and shit. I just have a few movies.

Even though not many people look at this thread anymore it did inspire me to finally get all of my media together and start on a comprehensive room. Not as nice as a lot of these others but I like it.

This represents around 75 precent of my collection and zero organization (yet). Big shelves cost 38ish dollars the small shelf 25 or so.

Basic materials that I used for to make the shelves (this is just for the first shelf)

Still several more things to build in this room but I am glad I finally got started on this after procrastinating on it for almost 4 years since we bought this house.

Looks decent and cheap.

I'm not typically OCD but I await those that notice the different sizes of the separate shelfs.
