Re: What's The Latest DVD You Bought (Part VII)

Watching Season 1 of The 100 made me want to find out what was going to happen next so I bought Season 2 a couple of days ago. It hasn't arrived yet but as soon as we finish First Wave, we'll start S2 of The 100.

Re: What's The Latest DVD You Bought (Part VII)

Bought a like new copy of Mulholland Dr. (w/ insert and list of Lynch's clues) and a brand new/sealed Slipstream (1989) yesterday at an indoor flea market for $2.50 ea.

Slipstream might not be a keeper but I was intrigued anyway.

Re: What's The Latest DVD You Bought (Part VII)

The Villainess.

It didn't look that great, but it had some good reviews, and I have a good track record with S. Korean films.

I didn't like it.
It started out okay, action was cool, the first-person video game style worked, but it was kind of stupid when the main character fights off a hallway full of armed men. It's like 30 guys or more, but they all take the time to attack her one at a time, instead of rushing her.
Just seemed stupid.
It seemed to copy a lot from La Femme Nikita too, so much I thought it was a remake, but it isn't.
I lost interest and stopped watching it.
$7 down the drain.

Re: What's The Latest DVD You Bought (Part VII)

The giveaway table in my condo's basement delivered again. First was a sealed copy of the 2 disc DVD director's cut of Donnie Darko, with the red Target slipcover.

Also a sealed copy of Frank Herbert's Dune but I already had that, looking for a relative that doesn't have it to give to.
