Hey, I know the other threads were closed on it, but I just got a response from Criterion on their Facebook page about a possible DVD and Blu-ray release of The Game. Their response?

Hells yes. If it does come out, do you think it will have the same special features that were on the Laserdisc or will Criterion produce new ones?

Looks like this would be an easy upgrade from the import DVD. The bonus materials are good, but a new documentary wouldn't hurt.

I hope this comes true...I have been so close to purchasing the region 2 SE several times but have stopped at the last minute as I continued to hope for a Criterion release.

While I'm personally not a fan of the movie, it'll be nice for those whom are fans to be able to get a decent DVD presentation.

This happens just as I order the HD-DVD version (cheaply I might add).

I might be down with a double dip if the extras are nice.
