Card Board DVD stands

Hey guys I was just wondering if anybody collects those cardboard dvd stands that grocery stores get to display their new dvds that come in? Transformers 2 had a awesome bumblebee dvd stand. Just wondering if anybody collects them?

I don't collect them, but back in the late 80's I worked next door to a mom-and-pop video store that used to get those big cardboard standups from the video companies. It was a small store so most of them went straight in the dumpster we shared. I used to look through them occasionally, but the place I was living at the time was too small and e-bay hadn't been invented yet. I remember a giant 6-foot Paul Newman face peering out from the dumpster for a week when "Fat Man and Little Boy" came out on VHS.

Yea I have a couple that I am selling on ebay. I think this could help earn a couple dollars to put towards collecting DVDS. :)

Was helping my sister's friends during a house move before and they had several display stands: Indiana Jones Crystal Skull, Dark Knight, and a couple others.

Back in the late 90s, I had several cardboard promos. I had the elaborate display for The Rock, a large 3D rectangular display for Alien^3 and several different promos for Batman & Robin. The highlight was the home video display for either Batman & Robin or The Lost World: Jurassic Park, which I used to house my then-fledgling home video library. Of course, these things are long gone. But I think every teen/young adult movie fan ought to incorporate such things into their collection at some point or another.

I had one from the VHS release of Pet Sematary. It came with a tall standee of one of the characters and the cat. I was only 12 or 13 at the time so I had to deal with my family not caring much for it. The standee of the character went in the garbage but I got to keep the smaller one of the cat anyway.

Never took any full displayers when I worked for Wal-mart. I did grab the occasion standee, I had a couple Star Wars ones and a few varioius others. A buddy of mine still works there and I got him to grab some of the stuff from Over the Hedge for my wife. Unfortunately I didn't realise this would mean I'd have Verne the turtle staring at me before bed for the next several years.

I ahve had a couple of them from my days at Sam Goody. I got rid of a ton of them because I never put them on display after I took them, but I saved a couple i think. the only one I can think of right now is the Ass-kicking yoda from one of the Star Wars prequels.
