I myself wish I could have had the Robocop steelbook...oh well.

Too bad the Criterion cover was never a steelbook, that would have been bad-ass.

Which is what made me think of it :P
I've learned from my mistakes, I'm getting it on Blu

Also, Army of Darkness DC may have been released 5 times, but never when I was collecting DVDs.

There are plenty of used copies of The Director's Cut and the "Bootleg Edition" on Amazon.

But truthfully, the Region 3 edition is the real "must own".

Yea, I HAD to get that one. Just makes sense considering.

As for the OOP titles, I make ALL of my expendable income on OOP DVDs, CDs, and Books. KaChing!! I seem to have a filing system in my head and I just find them at local CD/DVD used stores. Thank you studios.

Nice!

I'm waiting for my copy on Blu-ray to arrive as well....
Ordered it from WBShop.com during one of their crazy coupon stacking debacles....I'll be getting it once Heat is released since that is the item with the latest release date in the order...

Monte Hellman's Cockfighter (which I ended up buying at it's inflated price).

I was about to do the same for Hellman's Two Lane Blacktop, but Criterion came to the rescue with their awesome dvd of it.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles - Season 2, Part 2

Filmation's Ghostbusters - Volume 2

Double Dragon

Star Trek 2: The Wrath of Khan (112 Minute Theatrical Version)

And I'm sure there are many more titles that I want that I don't even realize are OOP.

Same here, although I've been stuck watching it on VHS. I was going to order this from DeepDiscount last Nov when I received an e-mail saying it's been discontinued. How could they do that to such a good holiday movie?

One I was going to pick up one day, but decided not to, and went back only to find out it's gone OOP is:

The worst part is, I believe the price tag was only $4.99, I was going to hold off for a lower price point (i.e. Big Lots= ~$3). Never again.

"Split Second" with Rutger Hauer is the first that comes to mind.

According to MMM, Mississippi Burning is not OOP (though it might be hard to find).

Criterion has purchased the rights. Expect a nice bonus filled DVD in the near furure. There has been nothing about it on the schedule for later this year unfortunately.

The Wrath of Khan theatrical cut is on BluRay and the new DVD box set. Some of the new DVD masters are starting to show up in stores as single discs, I'm personally hoping to get TMP and TUC theatrical cuts personally, I don't care for the theatrical of TWOK myself

Re: DVDs you would have bought but are now OOP?

Double Dragon? Isn't there an uncut edition or some such of that? It's on my list of things to find at some point.

The DVDs that come to mind for me are Bloodsport 2, Highlander the Series, Halloween Uncut, Sorority House Massacre series, Slumber Party Massacre series, and I think the price on Killing Zone (1999) was oddly high last time I looked it up. Wasn't Exterminator 1/2 a really rare DVD too?
