Pick me a movie to watch tonight

It's a rainy Saturday night and I have the house to myself.
So what better to do than...watch a movie and crank it up. (15 years ago the end of that sentence could have been very different.)

I'm normally a TV on DVD guy, so I need some help picking a movie to watch after finishing the laundry and maybe making dinner (the fun never stops at Casa de dtcarson).

So, please vote. Yes, I overanalyze things and have trouble with decisions. No, I'm not participating in the horror challenge so don't let that color your vote.
I have seen all of these movies, I think, but not on my current DVD, and not in quite a while.

Dangit I miscounted, and forgot to put in Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe as an option. Feel free to write-in that one if that's your vote.

Thanks in advance.

Went with Sweeney Todd. Se7en is my runner-up.

Too funny.

My vote goes to Memento with Hellboy as the runner-up.

Re: Pick me a movie to watch tonight

OK it's not raining anymore, but it feels like it might.
I'll admit that it's an eclectic list, I just went down the Unwatched list in DVD Profiler and listed the movies. I wanted to watch Watchmen but my wife wants to watch that too, and there are a few more titles that I'll watch with my son.

I honestly did not expect Se7en to run away at the polls. But yeah, it's definitely of a different caliber from many of the items on the list.

Re: Pick me a movie to watch tonight

Se7en it is, with seven, er, eight votes.

Of course, 8 of you picked a thriller with a serial killer...when I said I was home alone...on a rainy (at the time) night. As long as I don't trip over something while walking down the hall I'll be fine....

Feel free to continue voting, I'll watch the second place finisher tomorrow night (or maybe even tonight if I'm not tired, I got to sleep in today for the first time in months.)

Thanks for removing the responsibility for one decision from my shoulders Now join me in the Video Games forum where I ask for input on Bwhat 3 games to get with Best Buy's B2G1 offer tomorrow... (kidding).

Raining classic choice would be Halloween (1978) and turn the lights off and let magic begin!

Why the fuck is Superman III up there? Why would you want to watch that?

Re: Pick me a movie to watch tonight

I don't have Halloween.

I liked Superman III, or at least I remember liking it last time I saw it. I have the silver box set and I've only watched 1 and 2 out of it. It wasn't Superman 1 or 2, but it also wasn't IV.

I voted for Triumph of the Will. I felt bad that it hadn't received a vote yet.

Home alone? I vote for "Pirates". Gotta love Jesse Jane, Teagan Pressley, and Janine all in the same movie and dressed as slutty pirates to boot!

Re: Pick me a movie to watch tonight

My lawn does need one last mowing before it starts cooling off for good...I'm caught up on laundry and de-cluttering the living room and bedroom.

Looks like Sweeney Todd and Memento are currently tied for second - unless things change, I'll watch Todd tonight.

Seven wasn't as scary as I remember it being. Very good though. Mills was a bit of a whiny punk. I have a question though:
Spoiler:
Since Jon Doe was so methodical and planned so well, how did he come up with Mills as one of his targets? He had been working on Gluttony for days, and Sloth for a year; Mills transfers in just as they find the first victim. Is Doe stalking Mills/Somerset throughout the entire investigation, or does he decide to target Mills upon the photo incident? When did he start Envying Mills? It seems much more unplanned and random then Doe's previous victims.
