Someone mentioned Laid to Rest in the earlier thread. I thought it sounded familiar, and it turns out I recorded that movie on Saturday. It was on The Movie Channel. Haven't watched it yet, though. Sounds like it's worth a watch, though.

I'm thinking He Knows You're Alone is the '80s equivalent of the Prom Night remake. It held my interest, but I honestly don't recall there being one drop of blood. And if it weren't for a couple of boobs, it probably would've scored a PG-13 rating.
And how the hell did they manage to avoid a lawsuit from Carpenter? That was a direct rip-off of the Halloween score.

I like "He Know's" and it is pretty bloodless. I'll be watching it soon. Of course It's really known for being Tom Hanks first movie. I remember Letterman years ago embarrassing him with a clip from it.
There was so much of that electronic music in those movies then It could have slipped under the radar. Nowadays everyone is suing everyone. Just a different time.
There were so many slashers coming out It would be easy to miss. Several a week it seemed at the Drive-Ins after Friday The 13th. What a great time...............

Also I think it was LickTheABC's who mentioned it in his review, I think we never see Bobbi Sue Luther nude, is because she's married to the director Robert Hall. I remember hearing they were married at the Laid To Rest panel at Fangoria 2009 in Los Angeles.

wow! just watched 'The Children' while the first twenty minutes were a sort of a slow build up, the rest of the film was wild - the quick moments of violence /gore though were quite intense and appropriately jarring.

Oh wow. Halloween Resurrection was atrocious. I think if they cut all of Busta Rhymes scenes it might have been bearable. On second thought, no, the story was a big pile of steaming poo. Why didn't they stop at H20?
Speaking of H20. I didn't realize until I watched it last night that it is H-Twenty not H-Two-O. I was wondering how they were going to incorporate water into the story.

And funny, while in my mind I'm thinking Halloween 20th Anniversary sequel whenever I think of the film or see the title, I always pronounce it H-2-0 in my mind.

Watched Don't Look Now for the first time last night. I was told it's a slow-burn type of film, which I'm normally ok with, but it felt like there was little happening to keep it interesting and the final twist was kinda "WTF?"

Any recommendations for the decade subsets 1890, 1900, and 1910? There seems to be a lot out there for 1920 on, but I'm having a hard time finding films that fit here that are academy length... or are shorter films allowed for these decades?
