Speaking of bad movies, I encourage you all to avoid the deal going on at Buy.com right now, where you can get 24 independent horror films for $5 shipped. Here is the link for the masochists among us.

I watched 6 of them over the last couple days, and pretty much hated them all. A couple had slight promise, but overall they were just awful.

I have never sold or given away my non-duplicate DVDs, but I'm considering tossing this entire set in the incinerator, to insure that no one else is subjected to these 'films'.

Thank God I had Let the Right One In to help wash the bad taste out of my head.

I was giving thought to taking the plunge but figured they'd all be pretty bad.

Public Service Announcement: I just found out that Fearnet.com has Terrorvision available to watch! That was one of the huge movies from my childhood and my most wanted dvd after Night of the Creeps. Anyone that likes oddball 80's horror needs to check it out.

I know what you mean. It's become a habit where whenever I have any kind of free time, I feel the need to throw on a movie. But at least, for the first time, I'm on track to get over 100 which I never thought I could do with everything else I have to take care of.

I've been the same way lately. I saw I was almost halfway to 100 at the beginning of this weekend. So I have been doing movie marathons. During the week I normally wait till after work but just today I got in two movies already as other than a couple of appointments I have to go to today there is nothing going on at work.

I recorded TerrorVision recently but haven't watched it yet. I'm pretty sure I recorded it from Turner Classic Movies.

I also know what you're saying about the list. I allowed myself to get way behind this year. Yes, I got behind last year, but never this much! Last night, I got caught up with marking my first-time viewing as well as adding links to all film posters. A lot of work, especially since I *try* to find alternate posters to use, although that's not always possible. Now I just need to add some comments for the films. Sounds easy. Of course, that's more than 20 films, though! I hope to get fully caught up in the next couple of days. I just hope I can stay on pace after that.

And since we're talking a bit about numbers, I was shocked to discover that despite all the distractions this month, especially those two weddings, I'm actually ahead of last year's pace by 8 movies. Not too bad! I think most of that credit goes to DirecTV. Last year, I had Time Warner and its tiny little DVR hard drive. The Direct DVR is so much bigger so it has allowed me to focus more on the movies rather than staying up with my regular TV show to try to keep space on my DVR. It's also nice to have so many more HD channels to records things from as well!

ZombieDave, I was reading through your list and wanted to make sure you don't forget about Meet the Feebles! You say in your list comments that Brain Dead is Peter Jackson's follow-up to Bad Taste, but Meet the Feebles actually preceded Brain Dead. Nope, Feebles is not a horror movie, but it's still a whole lot of fun!

I just finished watching The Omen. I was wondering what kind of film career has Harvey Stephens had?
Has his role of Damien characterized him for future roles? I ask this because I haven't seen him in anything after The Omen.

Oh yes I have that and it's great. U r right it was in the middle. I wish I could include it but it's not horror on IMDB. Altho it is pretty sick and funny.

I just finished Romero's 5 Dead films-What a great series. I think it's the best ever. Gonna catch a few winks and do the Return/revenge series and finish off with the Night/Dawn remakes. It will be my longest day to date at 16 1/2 hours. I'm having a blast and the only difficult day was the Friday the 13th series. THOSE LAST 3 AND THE HORRID REMAKE were quite trying.
That's why I picked some Peter Jackson and Toxic/Street Trash types to have a good laugh.

I've got my second wind and ready to do more. I can't believe how fast it's going. When I think I'm gonna burn out I get a little sleep and then ready to watch more.
My OCD is in full swing............

Just hit my goal of 75. I'm running out of stuff that I want to view on the netflix watch instantly so it might be a struggle to get to 100.

just check imdb and it seems he didn't have much of one... only 2 roles one of which was a small role as a tabloid reporter in The Omen remake

* holds hand to ear* What did you say?

Can also add The Crow and Halloween: Dia De Muertos and Pooh's Heffalump Halloween Movie and Curse of Halloween. And maybe Mr. Halloween? And do the Halloweentown series of films take place on Halloween?

Actually, nevermind, there are probably dozens and dozens more. I will NOT let my OCD make me buy/rent all of them. I hope.

have you seen it before? I would have gone with Audition if a Miike one was required. I would be interested in your thoughts once you're done with Imprint. mostly about the dialogue.

I have seen it, not in a couple of years though. I'm honestly not big into most Asian horror (at least the typical stuff) and based on what I've seen from Miike I find he's a bit overrated.

If I absolutely, positively only had to go with one Miike film it'd be The Happiness of the Katakuris.

That's such a strange little film!

I guess if I could pick one Miike for someone it would probably be Audition. Sometimes his films can be too in your face for viewers not used to that sort of thing, but that's also why I would be tempted to say Ichi the Killer because I've seen that movie be such a shock to the system for many of my friends. My first Miike film was Visitor Q ... Not the best introduction to him. I have absolutely no desire to ever watch that again. It made me not want to seek out other Miike films.

Maybe I'll have a Miike marathon this weekend. Have a boxset of his films, but don't think I've seen anything of his outside of maybe Audition.

The Miike films I've seen are Audition, Imprint, Ichi and Sukiyaki Western Django. I didn't dislike any of them but I don't love any of them either. Though I think the cinematography in his films are great

I liked it, but the choice in dialogue made the film a little goofy. All respect in the world to the actors though.

On a random note I watched Sick Nurses for the first time yesterday. Not as good as the reviews I've been reading. Doesn't get interesting until the last half of the film and until then it comes off as a bad Soft-Core Porn film.

Also enough with the long-haired Asian Ghosts.....I don't know...give me bald ghosts.

Really. I may have to get The Omen remake just to see him.
Is The Omen remake any good? or should I just pass on it.
It's going to have to be incredible to stack up to the original.
