He's probably doing what I do, just cut the plastic where the discs slide out so the original plastic serves as a protective cover.

I've read the Oppo has been having problems with some Fox BDs:

Post in that thread and see if anyone else can check for you. The movie just came out (reviewers just got the BD yesterday) so it may take a few days for anyone else to notice.

I just got an Oppo but I have it on "different" firmware than the latest. I'll have to check my copy tonight on my PS3 or BD30.

Actually that shelving unit is just a temporary one. I'm constantly moving stuff around, so I do leave the plastic on some box sets like those where you can just slide the movies out. You'll see the plastic is off all the other sets, because you can't do it with them. Once I get the permanent shelves up, the plastic will be off of everything.

There are some great deleted and extended scenes on the DVD. But I can see how some if not most weren't used. Still, very entertaining.

Well, I went ahead and picked this one up on Blu Ray. I'll probably watch it this weekend, my bluray player is a Playstation 3 which will be part of the kid's Christmas gift on Friday. That is, I can't watch it before this weekend since my blu-ray player is wrapped up.

Since Fox BDs are rarely sent out to reviewers before release date, Oppo might always be a bit behind on them (if there is an issue). They and Disney are the worst right now since they keep switching up the DRM stuff to block out people from ripping BDs (which just get broken in minutes anyway). It's rendered some older BD machines unable to play those titles at all and the CE's are dragging their feet with firmware updates.
