G.I. JOE: Rise of the Cobra---November 3rd
 

Paramount Home Entertainment has announced 1-disc DVD ($19.99), 2-disc DVD ($24.99) and 2-disc Blu-ray ($29.99) releases of G.I. JOE: The Rise of Cobra for the 3rd November. The only extra material on the 1-disc DVD will be a commentary by director Stephen Sommers and producer Bob Ducsay. The 2-disc DVD and Blu-ray will include the commentary, along with a Big Bang Theory: The Making of G.I. JOE featurette, a Next-Gen Action: The Amazing Visual FX and Design of G.I. JOE featurette, and a digital copy of the film. Paramount hasn't yet revealed the artwork I'm afraid, but we'll bring you that shortly. Stay tuned.

Saw it in theaters and gave it a positive review. Saw it again later and liked it even more. It's the epitome of a mindless action film, but it's fun mindless action.

I enjoyed the movie. A few days ago I scored 3 pristine posters for the flick from the theater near me. I saw an employee about to throw them in the trash and he gave them to me!

Really.....so you moan and complain about other releases not being loaded with enough special features, but this one has enough to make the grade in your book??
Sorry, but those specs don't look like anything extraordinary....decent perhaps, but certainly not even close to the "packed" editions of years past that you claim all current releases should strive to live up to...

Holy crap that does seem fast. Day 1 purchase for me, loved this stupid little action movie. Also, that can't be a $29.99 BD MSRP, can it? I'm assuming it's a MAP or something like that.

Just got an email from FYE and they pictured the GI JOE dvd steelbook. Looks like its just Snake Eyes on the cover.

Day 1 for me too.

What's the problem with Digital Copies? I can put these on my iPhone and take them with me without any hassle. What's the downside there? It's not like I can play a Blu-ray in a million different places...

The fact that it says Digital Copy Edition for one. We don't need to be told about it on the cover. We'll figure it out when we open the case or read the back of it.
