I bought 10 dvds for the horror challenge (to add to the dozens I already had), so now I have to switch gears and get some X-mas movies. Ordered the first Santa Clause already, but my holiday movie collection is wayyyyyy behind my horror movies.

...and don't forget The Nightmare Before Christmas!

Not true horror, of course, but certainly horror-related.

I'm in for the holiday challenge again this year. It's one of my favorites, since I can watch TV shows as well as movies, and I also like that it covers so many different genres.

Also, for holiday/horror/comedy, there's Ernest Saves Christmas, which features the misguided "Christmas Slay" film being produced with a psychotic Santa Claus.

This is the only movie challenge I have ever done, and its still my favorite, how soon before all the networks will have all of their program guides out for holiday viewing.

I'll certainly be participating in this, but my viewing will probably reach 15 or less. Either way I can't wait for 24 hours of A Christmas Story!

I've never seen parts 3 - 5, my question is [although possibly stupid] do these all actually take place during Christmas. From what I've seen the 4th one is really out there dealing with giant bugs.

I just hope that A Christmas Carol will be in theatres during Thanksgiving... I think its just way too early for Nov. 6th. I still have my bday to celebrate on the 8th before thinking about the holdiays .

Honestly I've never seen them either. Though I'm under the impression they all take place during the holiday season

I've never seen it so I am hoping to FINALLY check it out this year... maybe even some of the sequels.

The first movie is great fun to watch. The 2nd one is probably the worst movie ever made, but in a good way, it's fun to make fun of it. Never saw 3 - 5, but I will this year.

Count me in for this. I usually watch plenty of holiday movies anyway, so it should be fun.

What the hell, I'll join in as well, since I usually watch lots of holiday movies anyway. I probably won't be able to start until the first of December though.

It isn't a Christmas themed movie, but most of Zombie Death House takes place on Christmas Eve.
