Sorry, I got doubts now about Canada after the failed Best Of Raw 2009 bluray

Amazon.com has a listing for TNA Wrestling: Cross the Line Vol. 3 scheduled for release on April 20th. Here's the odd, thing, though: the box looks like a single-disc release, and the page lists it as one disc. Here's a look at the cover art:

10 Hours worth of footage on one flipper? Can they do that and still maintain the quality?

I got a buddy who works at HMV and he told me they received 2 copies of the Blu-ray version in the afternoon, it costs $29.99, but told me he will give me his employee discount.

So it's definitely heading here.

As for the TNA Cross the Line Vol.3 pack, it will be 3 discs, official description from the Navarre site:

Description:
Cross The Line 3-Pack Volume 2 includes over 10 hours of Total Nonstop Action! In this 3 disc DVD set you will see three of TNAs top Pay-Per-View events: Turning Pont 2009, Final Resolution 2009 & Against All Odds 2010. Bonus material includes exclusive music videos, photo galleries and much more.

Features:

* Photo gallery.
* Behind-the-scenes footage.

Running Time:
660 minutes
http://navarre.com/NDS/catalog/item/nav/3/8051760.aspx

If it was a flipper disc there would be major compression and pixelation issues.

"Maintain the quality" and "TNA"? Huh, that's something I'd never expect to hear.

I'm pretty sure that is a fan made DVD case. The "In One" in the lower left hand corner looks so out of place.

Check out the Navarre link above sure seems to be the real thing unless it's just a placeholder.

Re: Official Wrestling DVD Discussion Thread - Volume XII

Another Blu-ray being released on May 18; Best PPV Matches of 2009-2010,

http://www.amazon.ca/Wwe-2009-2010-B...7820898&sr=1-2

But it might turn out like the Best of RAW 2009, where it will get scrapped, since it's not listed on Amazon.com.

I did read around Dec last year that WWE would like to release more Blu-rays for 2010, so maybe this will get the green light. It would be great getting the non-Wrestlemania matches in HD.

Re: Official Wrestling DVD Discussion Thread - Volume XII

Is there a 1 disc version of Jeff Hardy My Life My Rules? I was looking around for a replacement cover and found a cover that is for a single disc version. Did they release this in 2 versions?

No, it's probably just a custom cover.

Actually, there is a 1 disc version of the Jeff Hardy dvd. It was available as a Hollywood Video rental exclusive. It came out the same time as the 3 disc version. Spine #94855

Re: Official Wrestling DVD Discussion Thread - Volume XII

Interesting...thanks for the link.

I guess they will include most his matches with Mankind from 96-98, those were pretty brutal.

It's interesting that both HBK and Taker are getting DVDs within 3 months apart, i guess one of them (or both) might just retire after Wrestlemania.

Re: Official Wrestling DVD Discussion Thread - Volume XII

I would consider the TNA 3-Pack, however I pretty much hate to buy any TNA PPV on DVD now until they start releasing them in widescreen format. WWE does it, why can't TNA?

Whoa whoa what? Why is this the first time I'm hearing of this? Are there anyother Hollywood vid exclusives I need to know about?

And great news on the new TNA 3pack. Was hoping they'd release it in just that format.

Re: Official Wrestling DVD Discussion Thread - Volume XII

I don't see a problem with another Taker set, especially if they include mostly matches that haven't been released on other sets before. People who say things like the above poster act like if they weren't releasing a set of Taker or someone else that has been done before, they would be releasing a great set of someone "new" or whatever in its place. If you aren't interested in buying something, don't buy it. The world will go on.

Undertaker only had one three disc set released 5 years ago and the rest were only 1 disc (Buries Them Alive and 15-0).

I'm sure they will put out a lot of unreleased stuff. Undertaker is a legend in the business and deserves to have another DVD.

Back in the attitude era Austin had several VHS tapes released within 2-3 years. So it's nothing new.

If you don't like it, don't buy it, nobody is forcing you to get it.

Re: Official Wrestling DVD Discussion Thread - Volume XII

Taker deserves a freaking box set, if anything. 20 years in the WWE alone, let alone years before that in WCW/NWA and Memphis. So anyone that moans about another Taker dvd, I suggest you probably haven't seen the Tombstone 3 disc dvd set that came out in 2005. I feel that is one of the most underrated dvd sets ever. Greatly produced, great matches, and an interesting way of story telling the dvd and matches with narrating all the way through it. So I gotta feeling the next dvd release of Taker is gonna be just as great.

Re: Official Wrestling DVD Discussion Thread - Volume XII

Here is what I think should be on a Ricky Steamboat DVD - I would also put a couple of early 70s matches from Georgia, Carolina or Florida (not too familiar with that footage).

Ricky Steamboat & Jay Youngblood vs. Sgt Slaughter & Don Kernodle
Greensboro, NC – March 12, 1983

NWA World Championship Match
Ric Flair vs. Ricky Steamboat
East Rutherford, NJ - March 12, 1984

NWA World Television Championship
Tully Blanchard vs. Ricky Steamboat
NWA Starrcade - November 22, 1984

Ricky Steamboat vs. Matt Bourne
WWE Wrestlemania - March 31, 1985

Ricky Steamboat vs. Bob Orton Jr.
Landover, MD - July 20, 1985

Ricky Steamboat vs. Mr. Fuji
WWE Saturday Nights Main Event - November 2, 1985

Don Muraco vs. Ricky Steamboat

W Intercontinental Championship Lumberjack Match
The Honkytonk Man vs. Ricky Steamboat
Madison Square Garden – August 22, 1987

Ricky Steamboat & Eddie Gilbert vs. Ric Flair & Barry Windham
NWA: World Championship Wrestling - January 21, 1989

NWA World Heavyweight Championship Match
Ricky Steamboat vs. Ric Flair
NWA Chi-Town Rumble - February 20, 1989

WCW Tag Team Championship Match
Dustin Rhodes & Ricky Steamboat vs. Arn Anderson & Larry Zbyzsko
WCW Clash of the Champions XVI - November 19, 1991

WCW United States Heavyweight Championship
Ricky Steamboat vs. Rick Rude
WCW SuperBrawl II - February 29, 1992

Iron Man Match
Ricky Steamboat vs. Rick Rude
WCW Beach Blast – June 20, 1992

NWA Tag Team Championship Tournament Quarter Finals
Ricky Steamboat & Nikita Koloff vs. Brian Pillman & Jushin Liger
WCW Great American Bash - July 12, 1992

Ricky Steamboat & Shane Douglas vs. Dustin Rhodes & Barry Windham
WCW Clash of the Champions XXV - November 18, 1993

WCW World Heavyweight Championship Match
Ric Flair vs. Ricky Steamboat
WCW Saturday Night – May 14, 1994

WCW United States Championship Match
Steve Austin vs. Ricky Steamboat
WCW Bash At The Beach - July 17, 1994

Ricky Steamboat vs. Ric Flair
WCW Main Event – July 24, 1994

Ricky Steamboat & Sting vs. Ric Flair & Steve Austin

Ricky Steamboat vs. Steve Austin
WCW Clash of the Champions XXVIII – August 28, 1994

Chris Jericho vs. Ricky "The Dragon" Steamboat
WWE Backlash – April 26, 2009

I would have the documentary and then Steamboat introducing each match on the remainder of the first disc, 2nd and third (rather than matches one after annother)
What do you guys think...
