First day purchase. It's still playing in quite a few first-run theaters here. Pretty incredible.

Great release date. A good movie to introduce people to during Christmas.

One of my favorite films of the year, please let there be some kind of cool exclusive for it someplace (2-disc steelbook at fye or a best buy exclusive etc). I'm in for this release!

Re: The Hangover --> Dec. 15th!

One of the only movies I've seen at the theater this year (which my wife and I enjoyed a lot.) Will definitely be buying the blu-ray.

could of been better. i think i got all caught up in the hype and just wasn't to impressed. i did like when he played blackjack though. His hair and the way he presented himself was funny

I guess I have to get this on Blu-Ray since I know the DVD is going to suck ass.

Re: The Hangover --> Dec. 15th!

great news mao!
i read last week that the unrated cut which runs 7 minutes longer will also be released in the uk, but exclusively on bluray.
therefore, with warner`s recent history, i feared that they would do the same
here and only release a barebones theatrical cut dvd.
i really give them credit for being smarter about this release! i guess
the movie was so successful that they want to put out a great set.
too bad they didn`t believe in a better terminator salvation dvd release :)
anyhow, hangover se will be a first day purchase for me, its not only a great
movie, but i also want to support this release practice, so that warner
will continue such sets in the future.

I guess you didn't get what they were doing with that scene.

Check out "Rainman."

The $276 million figure quoted is only for the USA, although according to Box Office Mojo, they are currently overestimating by a couple million....

well because it always seems to bring malicious joy to you when dvd buyers are screwed over.
anyhow, even if it is just a digital copy, the set carries the unrated cut and will hopefully have some extras and a sleeve. thats still hundred times better than some other warner releases.
see it positive, at least you won`t read me complaining...

Re: The Hangover --> Dec. 15th!

Good news. Is it just me, or are a lot of summer movies getting released later in the holiday buying season than last year?

I remember Iron Man, a May release coming out at the end of September last year, Indiana Jones, another May release, coming out in mid-October, Hellboy 2 in early November from a July release, Tropic Thunder in November from a mid-August release. The only real late one I can recall is Dark Knight in mid-December.

This year it seems like aside from Transformers 2 (which I really didn't care for), everything is withholding until late November or early December.

Maybe it seems that way to you, but the facts are that Wolverine is already out, Monsters Vs Aliens is being released next week, The Proposal is due October 13th, and Ice Age 3 drops on October 27th....
Up is even being released on November 10th as well, which wouldn't be considered "late November"....

This and Star Trek are the two summer films I'm waiting for most.

Monsters vs. Aliens was not a summer release. It came out late March, which makes the DVD window 6 months.
