Hmm, I'll stick with my first releases of those two.

I was going to order both but, Canada Regular Shipping $27.50. Maybe I'll hold off, or add some more stuff to make it worthwhile.

Re: Official MST3K / Rifftrax / Cinematic Titanic DVD Thread

And here I was marveling at my good fortune in finding a copy of Beginning of the End used for 5 bucks last month.

Anyone know what the new extras, if any, will be for the re-releases?

Re: Official MST3K / Rifftrax / Cinematic Titanic DVD Thread

Looks like Shout! may have acquired the rights to the MST3K Gamera episodes when they acquired the rights to distribute the Gamera films on DVD in the US:

http://www.shoutfactorystore.com/prod.aspx?pfid=5257375

In 2010, Shout! Factory acquired the rights from Kadokawa Pictures for all eight of the Showa Gamera films to release the uncut, Japanese versions on DVD for the first time ever in North America. These "Special Edition" DVDs were released in sequential order, starting with Gamera: The Giant Monster on May 18, 2010, followed by Gamera vs. Barugon and two double-features: Gamera vs. Gyaos/Gamera vs. Viras and Gamera vs. Guiron/Gamera vs. Jiger.

Now this makes Volume XX and XXI both exclusively Joel-only boxes. Wonder if XXII will be Mike only...

A further note from Jordan Fields at Shout! Factory:

I’d completely forgotten about the MST Hour wraps for “Gamera” and “Gamera Vs. Guiron” until reading their responses to the extras. Fortunately there is still time to include, so I will. As for the KTMA host segs (or any footage from KTMA), I was not able to include.

Great to see such quick responsiveness to fans like that. I wish Shout! could handle more brands for home release, like a certain space opera series

Cover art up at Satellite news, and it's now available for preorder at Amazon. MSRP is $5 higher than normal, but there's five discs instead of four.

They also threw in a collectible tin. Hopefully it's not as big as the 20th Anniversary Set.

Re: Official MST3K / Rifftrax / Cinematic Titanic DVD Thread

Speaking of the 20th anniversary set (the one with the Crow figure, right?) Seems Shout! has a few of these left for sale on their website, but they're $63. Are there ever any coupons for the Shout! website? I want to get that Crow figure since I only got the plain DVD set of the 20th ann. set but I'd like to get that price down a smidge.

thanks

Looks like Rifftrax has gotten the downloadable rights to some Crown International titles:

The Crater Lake Monster - http://www.rifftrax.com/vod/crater-lake-monster
The Devil's Hand - http://www.rifftrax.com/vod/devils-hand

Nevermind about the coupon, wife just went and ordered that 20th set with the Crow figure for me for an early birthday present. It's really something special to have a wife that can understand things like this

Re: Official MST3K / Rifftrax / Cinematic Titanic DVD Thread

I'm sure this has been asked, but do the Shout Factory releases of individual titles feature any extras/anything special? I have all of the Rhino releases (except vol. 10) and so far I have all of the Shout sets. I just want to make sure I'm not going to miss anything.
