Also, I read that the whole story about Frank getting upset about MST3K's portrayal/jabs at him were false - the real story is that he wanted to capitalize on the success on the show and get more money than MST3K could afford.

Rifftrax is doing a live show tonight for The House on Haunted Hill.
Here is a list of Marcus Theaters carrying it:

Unfortunately, I can't make it on time

My wife and I saw last year's live Plan 9 From Outer Space and we can't go to this one because we also can't make it on time... because we're going to Tron Night!

Satellite news says that Volume XX (out next year presumably) will be an all Joel set with these eps:
109- PROJECT MOONBASE (with shorts: Commando Cody, parts 7 & 8)
322- MASTER NINJA I
324- MASTER NINJA II
505- MAGIC VOYAGE OF SINBAD
Not sure where they got their info, though.

Wonder if they're going to alternate all-Joel and all-Mike in order to get a few purchases from the militant fans of either host, and then of course folks like me will buy both.

I got my set today and holy shit the Gypsy figure is HUGE. The base is about 5 inches and it stands over 6 inches tall. Doesn't sound like much, but it is massive compared to the other figures.

I haven't opened it yet, but it would be kind of cool if it was to scale, with Gypsy being significantly larger than Crow and Tom Servo. It will be more realistic when I make pretend shows on my couch.

Is there any chance of finding a Crow figure at this point? I got the Tom Servo set, and will probably get this Gypsy set, but I waited to buy the figure-less set that didn't have Crow and now I feel incomplete.

Gypsy looks to be the right scale to me- she should be able to fit Servo in her mouth. Just a note to all the season 1 haters- I laughed my ass off at ROBOT MONSTER last night. Very re-watchable.

Over on MST3Kinfo, Shout Factory dropped some big news
1. Incredibly Strange blah blah blah Zombies and Beginning of the End are getting rereleased as stand alone eps.
2. The big one, they've cleared the rights to all five Gamera movies and will release them as a deluxe box set!

Awesome news. If Shout! could get the rights to the Gamera films, do you think they can get the rights to the Godzilla ones?

Thought of something, what's so special about those two standalone re-releases? I've already got both of them, are these high-demand titles?

Re: Official MST3K / Rifftrax / Cinematic Titanic DVD Thread
Glad to see the Gamera episodes will see an official release, as well as the re-release of the OOP "The Beginning of the End".
If they can get Gamera, they can surely get the Master Ninja movies and the Kathy Ireland-starring Alien from LA, one of my all-time favorites. And (fingers crossed but it will never happen) Diabolik, the series finale of MST3K.
I know "Beginning" has been OOP for a while (the original Rhino release was one of the first MST3K DVD releases in 2001), and the set that "Zombies" is on was OOP after the first pressing. Could be that Shout got the rights to those in deals with other already or soon-to-be-released titles.

The Beginning Of The End and ...Zombies are up in the Shout store. But at $19.99 each (+s/h)? Boo.
