I'd totally be down for a Christmas episode. All of their Xmas eps are required holiday viewing every year at my place.

It is my hope that folks like Frank, Mike, Trace and Kevin see just how much fans appreciate their work and the show that they do some kind of cameo. Rifftrax being involved is a nice start, I suppose.

Weinstein did one of the live streams which was a nice return. Mary Jo, too.

I now foolishly admit, I thought Mary Jo was involved in the recent show as the clone. That's how much the new actress looked like her. I only realized it wasn't during this recent fundraiser.

There's been another update from Joel. The Bonus Challenge #10 reward is going to be to be a Halloween 'special' episode, the 3-d episode (or one of them, I think there's going to be two). If the campaign can get to $6,364,230 there will be a 13th episode, that will be a Christmas episode that will include Emily, Jonah and Joel. The counter is getting close to $5.8 as of 1:30 pm central.

I went as far as physical media. Did get an extra pair of 3-d glasses or will; not sure if my add-on took.

Yup, 13 episodes which will include Halloween and Christmas episodes.

Re: Official MST3K / Rifftrax / Cinematic Titanic DVD Thread

A new update from Joel gives us another episode movie title, Gamera vs. Jiger (1970), that he says they'll probably use as the season 13 premiere. That'll be six out of the eight Gamera movies produced during the Shōwa period. Maybe somewhere down the line they'll be able to snag the last two, Gamera vs. Viras (1968) and Gamera: Super Monster (1980). It would be interesting for them to take a shot at the Heisei trilogy...

Turkey Day Marathon on Thursday, November 25th, 9am ET / 6am PT.

https://shoutfactorytvlive.com/mst3k...-marathon-2021
It wouldn’t be Thanksgiving without turkey—cinematic turkey, that is! This Thanksgiving, break out the pureed giblets, crack open some canned wassail and join your fellow MSTies for the beloved annual Mystery Science Theater 3000 Turkey Day Marathon. Hosted by Jonah Ray, Emily Marsh, Tom Servo, Crow T. Robot, and GPC2, this year’s event will include special exclusive announcements regarding the films being used for Season 13.

Starting at 9am ET / 6am PT on Thursday, November 25, the marathon will feature an extended lineup of eight classic MST3K episodes, with four chosen by fans via a bracket elimination poll and four chosen by Joel Hodgson and the creative team behind Season 13. This year’s marathon will feature new host segments with upcoming Season 13 cast members Jonah Ray, Emily Marsh, Tom Servo (Conor McGiffin), Crow (Nate Begle), and GPC2 (Yvonne Freese). Throughout the marathon, exclusive teasers will reveal each of the 13 films that will be riffed in the show’s upcoming thirteenth season, which will premiere exclusively on the show’s new virtual online theater, the Gizmoplex, in 2022.

Watch The MST3K Turkey Day Marathon on Apple TV, Roku, and Amazon Fire via the Shout! Factory TV app. Download the app and navigate to the MST3K 24/7 channel to begin watching. I haven’t watched any of their shows.
Anyone in here watch those?

I think one of them tweeted that they haven’t watched Manos since they made the original episode.

They’ve got a lot of shorts up on their YouTube, if you want a taste of what they’re doing:

Re: Official MST3K / Rifftrax / Cinematic Titanic DVD Thread

The first? new MST3K episode announced (during the marathon) is Santo in the Treasure of Dracula (1969). This should be a fun romp ala "Samson vs the Vampire Women" (1995). Maybe someday they'll do The Ship of Monsters (1960). Another one: Beyond Atlantis (1973). Missed one: Munchies (1987); "Hobgoblins" (1998) got some competition. Next: Dr. Mordrid (1992), I'm fond of this one, but there is plenty of room for ribbing.

So the finished list is:
Robot Wars (1993)
Demon Squad (2019)
Gamera vs Jiger (1970)
Santo in the Treasure of Dracula (1969)
Beyond Atlantis (1973)
Munchie (1982)
Dr. Mordrid (1992)
The Batwoman (1968)
The Million Eyes of Sumuru (1967)
H. G. Wells' The Shape of Things to Come (1979)
The Mask 3D (1961)
The Bubble (1966)
The Christmas Dragon (2014)

On the whole -- yummy. A good mix of sci-fi, fantasy, horror and The Million Eyes of Sumuru (1967).

Re: Official MST3K / Rifftrax / Cinematic Titanic DVD Thread

The Mask 3D is their Halloween 3D episode, but what's interesting is that The Bubble was filmed in 3D as well. I wonder if they started the licensing for both so they'd have at least one 3D title if the other fell through, but ended up getting both.

I guess the Christmas one is that Dragon movie I’d still love to know what the other one was that fell through.

They are showing the 3D movie in red/green?

I might just pick that up for Super Monsters. That film was bat-shit crazy.

For anyone interested, the MST3K app is available on Android TV and Apple TV. It has previews for the new season and if you received any of the digital episodes in the previous Kickstarter campaigns they can all be watched in the app.
I checked my Roku, but didn't find the app there yet.

I can confirm the Roku app, too. All my previous MST3K rewards/purchases are in my library. I'll install the android app later tonight.

Awesome. Thanks for confirming. I added it today.

For anyone familiar with the app Vimeo designed for the Criterion Channel it uses the same layout. Wondering how the events will work when those start, but I guess we will find out soon enough.

Re: Official MST3K / Rifftrax / Cinematic Titanic DVD Thread

Season 13 premiers this Friday (7:00 pm central) for all Kickstarter backers with Gizmoplex Member Passes, followed by a live after show and discussion. Not sure when episodes become available for general rental or purchase. It looks like the pattern is going to be two events a month; either two episodes or an episode followed by a special event (premiere of a new short). The first ep is going to be Santo in the Treasure of Dracula (1969).
