Three Amigos new DVD anamorphic?
 

Saw this in Best Buy the other day with 2009 date on the back I think in an amaray case (opposed to a snapper)
amazon.com indicates a release date of 6/2/09 and also states anamorphic...

Can anyone confirm this is true?
I'd buy this in a flash if was indeed anamorphic
great, underrated comedy

also wish spies like us, dead men don't wear plaid, the hitcher, and young guns 2 would get an anamorphic release

I'd love for an anamorphic 'Spies' and 'Amigos.' Two of my favorites that I never watch because they look like shit.

I doubt it's anamorphic. Prob just a re-issue in a new case. I really wish they'd give this film the full-on SE it deserves... on BD.

Wow i did not know that about YG2 and The Hitcher, could have sworn one of these or both were non anamorphic.
I actually did see that Steve Martin triple feature but I already own the 26th Anniversary SE of The Jerk, wish DMDWP was released as a separate anamorphic disc

chuckd21 and droidguy1119, I bit. It's the same non-anamorphic DVD in a keepcase. I basically would have been better off just flushing a $5 dollar bill down the toilet. Love the film, it's a classic but HBO video does not have the correct disc info on the back cover. If you still have it in a snapper case, than this should be a keepcase only upgrade, nothing new or different about it.

Well, kind of. Unless you mean the packaging mistake (which, I suppose, has been made repeatedly), I wouldn't call continuing to issue the same old disc in a new case a "new" mistake.

I meant labeling something anamorphic that isn't, to the point where movie buffs like ourselves have to start posts like this one just to make sure we're not getting screwed.
