? about 2 Diff. Dvds - Summer of Sam & Loser
 

1. i recently bought a used copy of Summer Of Sam- back states 16x9, but my dvd is clearly non-anamorphic

did someone switch these, or are all versions this way?

Sorry i tried to search, but i got 20 odd pages of threads with Summer in Title.

2. Loser with Jason Biggs, and Mena Suvari- I swear i read, or heard about some scenes not included in the film- but that i thought were deleted extras- where it was implied that something more happened to Mena's Character when she was unconscious?

can anyone help me, the only version out is PG-13 and makes no mention of any such scenes.

I own Summer of Sam and to my knowledge it as never been released 16X9

I have the same, it does state 16x9, but its not, I bought mine new.

I wish SOS would get a special edition. Very slim chance, of course, but it's one of my favorite Spike Lee films.

+1. I really really have been wanting a Criterion of that one for almost a decade now. It would be nice to get a 10th Anniversay edition this year but i doubt it.

The UK version of SOS is cheap at Amazon UK, is 16x9, includes a Spike Lee commentary, and is, of course, R2 and PAL.

a more complete cut of 'Summer of Sam' would be ideal, since the MPAA demanded some cuts - a rather explicit orgy sequence bit the dust in the process.
