The only DVD I'm getting will be Dragon Dynasty's An Empress & The Warriors (which for whatever reason isn't on this thread's release list).

I'll also be getting Watchmen and Coraline, but those will be on blu.

Simply posting to shine some light on an excellent film that was released on R1 DVD this past Tuesday, and seems to have been overlooked due to the understandable enthusiasm for CORALINE, WATCHMEN, the DD 25% sale, etc.

The movie is LA SCONOSCIUTA (2006) aka THE UNKNOWN WOMAN (R1 DVD title) from acclaimed Italian director Giuseppe Tornatore (CINEMA PARADISO, MALENA, THE LEGEND OF 1900).

It has been mentioned a bit in the International forum (if you search LA SCONOSCIUTA, and I recall Pro-B had a thread in there too). I thought it a dark and terrific thriller! Perhaps if the Korean trilogy of SYMPATHY FOR MR. VENGEANCE, OLDBOY, and SYMPATHY FOR LADY VENGEANCE were films you enjoyed, then LA SCONOSCIUTA might also provide great viewing satisfaction.

I have an English-friendly import DVD, so I can't speak as to the quality of the newly-released R1 DVD from Image, but it can be had for under $15 from Deep Discount during the current 25% off sale.
