My local WM broke the street date on this set and had it out on the shelves today. Unfortunately, I was too broke to pick it up yet. Don't know if it's a WM exclusive or if all the first run copies will have it, but the copies they had on the shelf had a lenticular cover and a sticker noting that it had a "Limited Edition Lenticular Cover!". (Please note, that's their exclamation point, not mine.)

I think the Smackdown! dvd was kind off cheap, it didn't even have any extras

Just curious, where have people been seeing the Smackdown DVD early? Anywhere near Connecticut?

WWEShop has Summerslam up for preorder, guess that confirms no Blu-ray release here in North America.

Was hoping that they would release it here.

Re: Official Wrestling DVD Discussion Thread - Volume XI

How come 3 PPV's from '05 for TNA are so expensive to find??? Slammiversary, No Surrender and Sacrifice are all I need to have all PPVs up through all of '07. Anyone have any extras of these?

I buy just about all my dvds online from buy.com or amazon because i always tend to get them delivered before the street date as is the case with the SD set, i received it yesterday and it had the lenticular cover also.

Slammiversary & No Surrender were both originally released in the "Triple Threat" set w/Hard Justice. They were definately available individually online though at regular prices, no idea why they're not available and are so expensive now.

I think this has been the best year for WWE DVD Releases. Next year we will hopefully get a Chris Jericho and if he leaves TNA, a Sting set...

I would have to agree with you on this. This year was the best for dvds. I'm looking forward to seeing a Chris Jericho, Million Dollar Man, Big Show and maybe after his contract expires... Kurt Angle. I've heard he is in talks of a possible return to WWE since he left on good terms with Vince.

Also I just heard that Armageddon pay-per-view is being changed to... TLC: Tables, Ladders and Chairs

Angle left in really bad terms with Vince and then continued to blast WWE in interviews when he went to TNA.

Re: Official Wrestling DVD Discussion Thread - Volume XI

Angle is now on good terms with Vince & wwe, he hasn't said anything negative, and is very complimentary in his interviews over the past year or so..... Read the Observer. I've yet to watch the TNA released Kurt Angle dvd. One of these days I guess.

Re: Official Wrestling DVD Discussion Thread - Volume XI

terrible match listing
-to little wcw stuff
-where is is smackdown promo when they gave him a 10 min ovation when he returned to blue and white
-to much old 80s, seeing hogan walk out and doing his same boring face matches in the 80s gets very old and boring fast
