although there's some talk that the UK release has been bumped to September, the US airing and release of the CD and DVD is still set for mid June (16th)

A 2008 revival of the musical "Chess," in which melodies by ABBA's Benny Andersson and Björn Ulvaeus and lyrics by Tim Rice propel the story of a Russian and American chess players (Josh Groban, Adam Pascal) and the woman (Idina Menzel) they both love."

the broadcast will be in HiDef but the actual video release will be standard DVD.

and those in the Washington DC/MD/VA area the Signature Theatre (Tony Award recepient Regional Theatre Award) is staging it, saw it last weekend and 'LOVED' it!

now if you familiar with the 'Concert' storyline - you'll notice the differences/changes Schaeffer did.
