According to this Spanish site, Destino is going to be released in 2010 alongside the Fantasia re-releases.

Wow no animated sets, bummer. Hopefully next year, we need another Rarities and an Educational set.

My thoughts exactly....

This will now be the first year I will not buy at least one Treasures title since the series began in 2001....I have all of the animated sets and half of the live action releases, but have no interest in Zorro.....

It is cool of them to expand the releases beyond 2 disc sets, but I still have mixed feelings about this release for the treasures.

Wow, I only ever buy the animated ones. Guess I'll have to think of something else for relatives to get me for Christmas

I only get the animated releases as well. I'll be able to skip this year for the first time ever!

At least they are not colorized. Still, likely a pass for me at that price.

Re: Walt Disney Treasures Wave IX - 11/3/09

Yeah....bummer about no animated sets. Although last year they did basically complete all the "main" stuff with the last of Donald's theatrical shorts. But there should be plenty of other animation that would be Treasure material.

As for Zorro....not sure about this. Splitting up the third season onto both sets? That seems a little cheap. But on the other hand six disc sets for each set...definitely a big change.

Great! I need to save some money so this'll be one less thing I'll have to worry about buying.

Re: Walt Disney Treasures Wave IX - 11/3/09

I was a huge Zorro fan growing up, and even at that price, I'll admit getting the whole thing in one go is tempting. I'll probably rent to check to see if it holds up (glad I did so with Tales from the Darkside), then take the plunge if it's as fun as I remember.

Re: Walt Disney Treasures Wave IX - 11/3/09

I could swear that the 1st two seasons of zorro are already available at the disney movie club. So why rerelease it under the treasures banner?

The ones sold at the Disney Movie club have not been restored. It seems that these sets will be restored.

Re: Walt Disney Treasures Wave IX - 11/3/09

this sounds like one of those disney treasure releases everyone will scramble to buy at bookstores at rip-off full msrp prices and be happy about it because it has a low print run due to lack of interest and no one bothered to get it from amazon for cheap before it sold out and now it's going for crazy prices on ebay.

Also, the sets from the DMC are only available in colorized versions.

Very cool. I own the first set from the DMC and I was just thinking about getting the second. So glad I waited!

I can't wait to own restored versions of the original B&W shows!

If memory serves me this is one of the few shows disney didn't actually shoot in color. Walt was keen to see early on that if he shot in color he would be able to rebroadcast down the line.

so yes, glad to see it in B&W.

Re: Walt Disney Treasures Wave IX - 11/3/09

This thread reminds me that I've fallen behind on the Treasure's releases. Looks like the only way to get Donald V3 & V4 is Ebay or similar sites.

If memory serves, I used to watch this show all the time on AMC many years ago. I might actually buy these sets.
