Question on The Twilight Zone Series DVD'S - An Episode Called "The Time Element"
 

I see on www.oldiedvd.com that they have an episode from 1958

I looked on the Definitive dvd info reviewed here and see no info on this at all.

Am I missing something ? Is it included on the collection at all ?

Respectfully submitted for your approval, this hour-long classic filmed and broadcast in 1958, entitled "The Time Element," starring William Bendix as a man who wakes to find himself in Hawaii in December of 1941, the day before Pearl Harbor gets attacked. His attempts to warn everyone goes unheeded, but this thriller was actually the pilot for Rod Serling's series, The Twilight Zone, which premiered a year after this was broadcast. Other rare Serling films and Twilight Zone promos fill in the remainder time on this DVD. A must-have for Twilight Zone fans!

I don't have an answer to your question, but how is it referred to as an 'unaired' pilot, and yet it says it was broadcast in 1958?

As to your question, I'm guessing it wasn't included since it wasn't really part of the Twilight Zone series itself, more a precursor to it, from the looks of things.
