Good Burger New Edition ?

I have seen a May 5th, 2009 date for a release of Good Burger on dvd. Does anyone know about this ? Is it the same disc as before, or is it a special edition with features ?

"We were delighted to collaborate with Paramount in the creation of this extraordinary HD-DVD," added Kim Aubry, Nickelodeon's VP of Technology and Executive Producer of the HD-DVD. "To have the opportunity to take a film that we truly love and spend six months looking through the vaults for interesting 'lost' objects was something too good to pass up. We contacted the original filmmakers in our quest for great HD-DVD extras; and we were led to photographs, tapes, student films and forgotten promotional materials that when viewed today add insight to the film and the filmmaker. Kenan and Kel's new commentary is amazing and we believe will become 'required' viewing for 'Good Burger' buffs and film lovers everywhere."

Good Burger was originally a sketch on the popular children's variety series "All That." Good Burger features acclaimed young actors Kenan Thompson and Kel Mitchell as two teenagers who have to spend their summer working at a fast food joint. Things get interesting when their restaurant may get shut down due to their new competitor Mondo Burger. The film features cameos from Carmen Electra ("Baywatch"), Shaquille O'Neal (the NBA), and George Clinton (P Funk). Abe Vigoda and Linda Cardelini ("Freaks and Geeks") co-star.

Own this modern classic on April 1, 2007.

There used to be a nice black and white one somebody made years ago (Criterion #0) that I can't seem to find right now.

+1
I wonder if Criterion is aware of this joke. ?

I really would buy a Criterion version of Good Burger just for the novelty of it.

I think this thread should just be dedicated to everyone posting their own Good Burger Criterion mock-up.

Re: Good Burger New Edition ?

As someone who paid $3 to buy the DVD at Wal-Mart; I'd fully support a four-disc Criterion Collection just as long as one disc isn't devoted to just a digital copy.

My version of the cover...I need to get this professionally printed, buy the DVD, and put it in an orange amray.

A simple visit to a place like Amazon.com would've answered your question.

There's no new release of Good Burger coming anytime soon.

I remember when it came out, I got to go to a premiere in Atlanta and meet Keenan and Kel. I've still got a signed promotional poster for the movie somewhere in my room lol.

i think this joke is one of the best dvd jokes out there.

I really think Criterion could make some good money actually putting this out.
