I have both versions already, but with the Sony one being out of print it seems strange not to redo this just to keep the title in print. I would have happily bought this movie a third time.

I was about to sell my Rhino Transformers collection in anticipation for this but decided not to at the last minute. I think the Rhino discs are pretty solid. Shout Factory is actually using the same masters for these so I'm not sure how much of an improvement they will be. They are supposedly correcting a lot of the animation mistakes but even though I notice them sometimes, it's not a big deal to me. I will buy the full GI Joe set as soon as it's available though.

Apparently they were going to make an actual matrix of leadership but went against it because it would likely scratch the discs.
This would've have been pretty cool if they could pull it off.

Yeah, while that looks cool, it just doesn't have the practicality the box will....at least I can probably fit this Matrix box on my shelves, while that actual fully-molded Matrix wouldn't fit anywhere well....

I'm guessing the complete sets are only available direct from Shout Factory. I placed my order today. 285 for both sets, but at least 2 day rush shipping was free. They charge you immediately, but thankfully I made enough on my Rhino sets to cover the cost.

If my ship date from Shout Factory is correct I will have my set a couple of weeks before Shout sells them at comic con. Hopefully the complete sets get a wider release so a better deal can be had, but I'm not waiting and overall I think both sets are worth the price charged.

Yeah, I would rather not wait that long for this to come out. I will buy mine now. It took a long time for Shout to release that outside of their store.
