I'd buy all the new sets. Aren't these supposed to be remastered?

Will Shout do that again? I am not sure, but I stand on my previous point, count on both being a "limited" set.

But also, the volume sets will help out those who started with Rhino...so it might not be that bad.

Why would anyone count on that?

F&G was stated to be a limited set. They lied.

No such promises have been made about these as far as I know. If they come out at retail before Christmas and DeepDiscount or DVDPlanet makes them available at 25% off, I'd rather take the chance of saving $75, assuming they're even priced as high as they're selling now directly in the first place.

Now that is a nice set. I want to save money with the wide release, but I want it now!

Wow that is damn nice, I may have to preorder it instead of waiting it out. I sold the old releases for a nice amount, so it stings a little less.

NICE! This set looks sweet. Glad I ordered.

And I am a total sucker for the dog tag flash drive (because I am a techno geek and I wear dog tags...it is the best of both worlds).

I have mine on order. I know when I get it I will think the packaging is cool until I go to put it on my shelf. I wish the inside boxes were the normal case height. This reminds me of the Blade Runner briefcase which was cool for 5 minutes then just obnoxiously large and annoying.

Agreed. If i had a spot for them, they would be awesome. There is only so much space on the top of teh shelving. Everything else needs to be regular height to fit on the shelf.

Also a point to note, the complete series set has awesome disc art from the original toys! How cool is that?

Im not worried about the size, since I have a dedicated shelf for my big complete sets like Charmed Book of Shadows, Hulk, Knight Rider, etc.

I noticed the disc art too! Though they shoudlve taken Bazooka off, and put another Cobra on there.

Utter nonsense! Bazooka was my very first GI Joe. Even when his legs fell off due to the crappy black rubber band inside, he still remained in the collection. Actually, with Tomax and Xamot there are an equal number of Cobra and Joes.

Re: G.I. Joe - A Real American Hero: Season 1, Part 1 - 7/21/09

Some news about Resolute, the movie, and Footlocker set

As for the movie and Resolute, Hasbro has a separate licensee for Resolute. And while it would make sense to capitalize on the release of the upcoming live-action film, we don't want to confuse folks in anyway, so we're holding back the release of the animated movie until people have had an opportunity to purchase the new movie. Makes sense for all three Hasbro, Shout!, and Paramount.

Like I said, though, if you own the original Rhino release of the film, there will be an empty slot just waiting for you to include it. If you don't have Rhino's original release and you're waiting to see what we might do with the film, that slot will be perfectly filled a little later on.
