Uh, they've released other DVD in lunchboxes before. Nothing new. Plus there's been a lot more cooler packages other than a lunchbox.

Yeah, the packaging is all right but they didn't exactly go out of their way to create anything special. Isn't that just a copy of the old 70's lunch box?

I would think that was the point from a nostalgia perspective.

But there's never been a dinosaur lunch box before!

Probably. But it's still really cool!

Yes. Exactly.

Perhaps anyone too young to remember metal lunchboxes wouldn't get it.

True. They weren't setting out to make the coolest packaging ever...that was just attributed to the release here.

Dang. I wish my Man from UNCLE set was housed in real metal.

Is this show even decent enough to warrant a purchase?

I remember quite vividly not liking this show. When I was lucky enough to wake up right as the sun would begin to rise to get a head start on my cartoon viewing, it always seemed the craptastic & boring Land of the lost would be on or some news program, But I'm a sucker for cool retro lunch boxes especially when they house a dvd set. So count me in.

A good number of writers from the original Star Trek series worked on this show, so it does have an interesting sci-fi take to it that was fairly intelligent for a SatAm kids show from the 70's. The writing is better than the special effects that the budget allowed for.

Psych (the best show on television) had a funny reference to LofL the other day.

I'm in for this set.

I'm in for this. I loved this show when I was a kid. Even if it doesn't hold up too well for me, (and who knows, maybe it will. I haven't seen it since I was about 6 years old.) I'm sure my two little boys will like it.

Gonna need a lot more than a chintzy lunch box to sell me on this set.

That's a matter of opinion.

But don't be turned off by the fact that it's a kid's show. Some episodes were written by the same people who wrote for the original Star Trek.

I want a huge DVD set stacked inside of a thermos. That way, it's very difficult to get the DVD you want AND it doesn't fit on the shelf. Score!

The case top should have a jumbled mess of crystals and you have to figure out how to place them exactly right to get the case open!
