I'll be intrested in getting this but the whole 3-D thing doesn't impress me.
I don't know much about the whole 3-D thing anyway
Can this DVD be viewed regularly without the whole 3-D mess?

It is depending on the setup. I have it at home.
What would work really well is the one lens that's clear and the other that's a little darker. I have a couple movies like that.
In the end though, it's up to the makers that determines how good the effects are. The Nightmare on Elm Street sequence was bad enough for them to even admit.

Unfortunately it is going to be the cheap red/blue lense type of 3D and here is a interview with director/editor Patrick Lussier explaining the viewing experience for home viewing..

Does it have to be red/blue 3d for the home version? Wasn't it not to long ago that the tv show "Chuck" had some sort of 3d episode (or was it a super bowl ad)? I remember the supermarket giving away 3d glasses and they weren't red/blue. they were clear.

Really enjoyed this in the theater, but I'm not sure yet if I'll pick up the BD/DVD release.

I will be very interested to read the reviews of how well the 3D works at home. I saw it in 3D in the theatre and it is a lot of fun in 3D... but the actual movie leaves a lot to be desired and would be painful to watch in 2D only. Whether I purchase it depends fully on whether the 3D works well at home.

Re: My Bloody Valentine 3-D <><> 5.19.2009
anyone know if the 3-D glasses that came with the recently released "Friday the 13th: Part 3-D" will work with MBV?
i rented this from BBV and they actually wanted 15 cents for the glasses! i just thought the idea of that was absurd and figured i wouldn't even get through the whole movie in 3-D anyway. luckily, the 2-D version is also on it.
they must be really hard up for cash with the bancruptcy rumors to even consider charging extra for the glasses. just outrageous and i soon won't be a customer either.
