With the exception of D.O.A. and Diary of the Dead, that's the same exact list of the films I would classify as "watchable" under that banner.

For those also keeping track, the Weinsteins were not the theatrical distributors either for Black Sheep, Teeth, or Mother of Tears to theaters.

Even though Night of the Living Dead is on the website, I personally agree that I wouldn't count it as a "Dimension Extreme" release. I haven't checked the DVD out since I bought it, but I would be surprised if the DVD actually has the Dimension Extreme logo play when you load the disc.

Of the ones I've seen:

THE GOOD:

MOTHER OF TEARS - OK, it's not good, but it's so wacky that at least it's a lot of fun. Even bad Argento is good.

THE BAD (or "OK"):

TEETH - kind of fun - premise wears thin, but still watcheable.
ROGUE - decent giant croc film, but nothing special.
DIARY OF THE DEAD - heavy-handed message-film, but Romero zombies are always worth watching. Still, a bit long and preachy.
BROKEN - This one's not too bad, but it does have that "isn't this way too grueling" and we're going "extreme" attitude, when it all really feels very artificial.

THE UGLY:

BLACK SHEEP (funny premise for a one-minute short stretched out ad nauseum)
WELCOME TO THE JUNGLE (and say goodbye to your patience)
AUTOMATON TRANSFUSION (one of the most annoying kinetically-edited films ever - zombies have it easy by not having to watch such sh*t)
INSIDE (pretentious crap hiding behind a gory subject about killing fetuses - didn't believe a minute of it.)
WIZARD OF GORE (how can Crispin Glover be so boring - one wretchedly dull and awful film - I dare anyone to make it all the way to the end. Herschell Gordon Lewis looks like Kubrick now.)
ZOMBIE DIARIES - (ya, another really bad modern zombie film - can't remember a thing about it, though, except it was torture to sit through)
EDEN LAKE (one of the most overrated genre films of late - terrible in every aspect - stupid characters doing stupid things over and over - just die already. Utter crap. Only recommended to horror-virgins who have never experienced any other horror film, or to people who like watching unconvincing high-schoolers trying to act all vicious and psychotic. I just laughed.)

I am in no hurry to check out any of the other Dimension Extreme titles.

I was pretty let down by Wizard of Gore...I like Crispin Glover and Bijou Philips is eye candy of the highest order, but looked especially cheap and wasn't particularly interesting. I admit, though, the sound effect of the lead's bones cracking was sufficiently unnerving.

Diary of the Dead - Hated it.

Eden Lake - Nothing new here. This story has been done before plenty of times.

I can't believe all the hate that Zombie Diaries and Diary of the Dead are getting. I thought both were pretty cool zombie movies. But then again I seem to have the opposite zombie movie taste from most people around here since I think the early Romero movies are shit and enjoy the last 2 (Diary much moreso than Land), whereas everyone else thinks the reverse.

I just saw Steel Trap recently and that was total garbage. Pulse 2 and 3 were okay.

So, does Dimension Films even exist anymore or was it re-branded Dimension: Extreme?

It still exists, although I don't think it's a genre label anymore. Dimension put out the Fred Durst directed The Long Shots.

The Weinstein Company: The "bigger" (more notable) releases.

Dimension: The releases the Weinsteins don't give a shit about.

Third Rail Releasing: The releases the Weinsteins really don't give a shit about (but most of them are labeled via Dimension when hitting DVD).

The last "notable" Dimension theatrical release was Grindhouse.

His opinion aside, if you liked part 2 you'll love this as well.

There was some pretty good deaths (when you could see who or what was being ripped apart) and alot of good one liners.

I thought part one was a lot of fun, albeit with gimmicky character set ups and some oddball humor. I thought it worked perfectly as a one-shot flick.

I didn't see part 2, but after watching part 3 I don't know how easily I could sit through it. The almost-universal negative reviews it got from critics and horror fans alike certainly didn't help to sway me.

Let the guy have his opinion, no one thinks the same as everyone else....I agree some of his choices were a little weird to me but it's his opinion....DOA, Broken, Welcome to the Jungle, & Automaton Transfusion were Good/Decent but Nightmare Detective, Diary of the Dead, The Wizard of Gore, & Mother of Tears were Bad/Terrible? :jawdrop:

I just saw the Killing Gene and for the most part it was a good low budget B-movie similar to Seven. However, the twist at the end just killed it for me.

Welcome to the Jungle was awful. I could have shot that movie with my DVD camcorder on one of my overseas vacations.

Nightmare Detecitve was not bad at all.

What shocked me the most about Welcome to the Jungle was who directed it. Jonathan Hensleigh who wrote & directed The Punisher (2004). He also wrote other stuff like Die Hard: With a Vengeance, Jumanji, The Saint, Armageddon, & Next.
