Worst DVD Transfer

What do you think the worst DVD transfer ever is?

Mine goes to Bachelor Party 2: The Last Temptation. It was absolutlely horrible.

Re: Worst DVD Transfer

I have some horror put out by Brentwood that's pretty craptastic. Thankfully, some have had proper transfers done recently.

Re: Worst DVD Transfer

Kino, Facets, and Fox Lorber have put out their fair share of shoddy transfers.

Re: Worst DVD Transfer

Probably some public domain something-or-other that you can buy for $1.00 at Walgreens.

Reservoir Dogs: 10th Anniversary Edition
Thief
Scarface: CE (first release)
Double Indemnity (Image)

And all of those except Thief I viewed on my old 19" RCA TV!

Spielberg's 1941...I know you either love it or hate it, but it deserves a better transfer.....

Really? Didn't look too bad to me, and Holly Ordway's review was quite positive.

Re: Worst DVD Transfer

On Madacy, the Italian classic TWO WOMEN with the Oscar-winning performance by Sophia Loren. Illegible subtitles, fuzzy picture, and more grain than the farm belt.

Shamefully, there does not seem to be a decent subtitled release anywhere.

Escape from Sobibor (the 1998 release) and the first (of thousands) Halloween DVD were HORRIBLE.

Same. They should have digitally obscured the "color by Technicolor" credit since it means nothing on that transfer.

Re: Worst DVD Transfer

Anne of Green Gables and Anne of Avonlea.
It's shameful, because half of the charm of the miniseries is the beautiful scenery of Prince Edward Island.
