Daaamn, good job! I only managed to sell my (opened) Paris, Texas and Wings of Desire discs for about 50 bucks each. I've also got the R2 Axiom Alice in the Cities, but I'm assuming Criterion will best that edition's limited extras (two interviews).

The cheapest sealed copy is currently $69.99 on Amazon, and even if this gets released in May, the pre-order wouldn't be up for another month, so you've got plenty of time to sell it for a nice profit. $120 is just outrageous though! Congrats dx23 on finding such a deep-pocketed sucker.

Re: Criterion Newsletter (Wings of Desire)
Wings of Desire and, to an extent, Paris, Texas have already been available in perfectly great editions, though... I don't see the latter around very often, but Wings doesn't seem difficult to find in brick-and-mortar stores (in my area). I'll be interested to see what they can do for the transfer of Paris, Texas, but I wish they'd see about getting Wenders' unavailable films out in the US instead.

In the meantime, Axiom has put on quality editions of Kings of the Road and False Move. They seem to have committed to releasing a healthy slice of Wender's catalog - six films and counting - so hopefully we will see The State of Things and the director's cut of Until the End of the World at some point.

Re: Criterion Newsletter (Wings of Desire)
I wanted to get a copy of this movie months ago when it was less than $10, but never got around to it and then it goes OOP. Luckily I will still be able to get a new copy at a reasonable price.

Damn. I remember seeing Wings of Desire (I think) in a Barnes & Noble a few years ago for like ten bucks. I wish I had the foresight to grab ten copies...

Hell, I didn't even know it was out of print.
I have the MGM DVD, and would have sold it for a hundred bucks. (I didn't really care for the movie, so I wouldn't mind parting with it. I think I paid something like $3-$4 for it during one of DD's MGM BOBO sales.)

Great news on all three Wenders! Now they just need to release Kings of the Road, and perhaps some other rare Wenders. I had no idea Wings of Desire and Paris Texas were OOP. Ebay, here they come.

Re: Criterion Newsletter (Wings of Desire)
I had no idea Paris, Texas was OOP either. For those that don't remember, this title was dumped on the market and I never understood why. On the day of release it was priced at $7.00 and most online stores had it for less than $5. But I never once saw it at a B&M store. Why did fox make a DVD packed w/ extras and then dump it at that price?
